I'm not sure that its something that needs confirming - just about anything has a chance of happening somewhere in this game.

Actually, the types of goods that get stolen and taken to caves are very hardcoded and non-random right now.  I was wondering the same thing about where to obtain medical supplies.  If it's just fortresses then bleh.

I wish we could simply (I)nteract with a piece of clothing and rip it into pieces...

I can just imagine wrestling with a different creature and harvesting all its clothes for my wounds.

The thing is, does it even stop bleeding?

I couldn't stop bleeding with cloth.  I fought some elves, got shot in the throat.  [w]earing the cloth still results in putting it on my hands.  (I)nteract told me I couldn't do anything with it.  Saved if anyone else wants to look at it.

Maybe it's a way of doing non-lethal damage?

Agree, plus that's about the LAST thing *I* want to see from this kind of game - author spending valuable development time on useless graphics.

You got shot in the throat. With an arrow. Putting a cloth over the wound won't stop you from bleeding out.

But yeah, it would be nice if you could choose where to wear the cloth. Or other items. Improvised sock mittens.

I just hope in the next version (read: not bugfix but actual addition) adventurers will be able to stop bleeding so that we don't die ridiculous deaths from getting a bloody lip.

I honestly don't see how half the wounds in the game that end in bleeding out are even fatal, like a bloody lip.
Is every creature in the game a hemophiliac? I feel bad for the women. :P

My adventurer's upper lip got cut open by a passing arrow, apparently with an artery being torn as well, but the bleeding stopped before long and the wound has healed to a scar.

If I look at the wounds screen though it still says that the artery is torn.

It seems the hemopheilac wounds only occur when the arrow gets stuck in.

The wiki says in adventure mode you can heal some wounds quickly by using a bandage you can find in an abandoned fortress, Can anyone confirm?

Dwarf Mode just uses standard cloth for bandages, there's no "bandage" item.  Someone's been jumping the gun on editing the wiki again...
