Improving Adamantine with Slade

Okay... if I give Adamantine Slade's stats, will it still be minable? (obviously just the solid density and stuff below that). Or is the game hard coded to say "Stuff of X density can't be mined at all"?

Alright, did some checking.

I HAVE DETERMINED THUSLY!!!

You can't mine Adamantine. You mine Raw Adamantine, which uses a completely different set of stats.

EG: Raw Adamantine could be the suckiest stone in the game, and once it's been processed, no matter how epic you make Adamantine, it is possible.

Feel free to go wild people.

So you're confirming that you can brutally cheat in a game where you can, with the addition of a few lines to a file, crank out an infinite supply of any material you want.

The problem with slade is its 50000 parameter whatever it is. If you make it 49999, it's mineable.

Blunt damage and force. 5000000 is a hardcoded value which means "do not mine".

This could have serious implications for Kobold Camp. By taking all stone and giving it a 5000000 impact fracture level, we could prevent kobolds from mining rock while still allowing them to dig through soil. If we wanted to, we could also include various "soft" stone types that kobolds could dig through. Also, some testing is in order. Is 5000001 rock mineable?

I still think that the whole fortress should be flooded with magma the moment you try dividing by zero.
This could be a handy way of teaching preschool children mathematics.

5000000 is max. Hence why it isn't higher.
