i was attacked by a forgotten beast glass monster and my squad is beating it down, but it won't die, and it's blocking half my dwarves from food, and the other half from shoes and things they want. so my whole fort is running in circles around the monster freaking out.

is there anything i can add to a raw file some where to make the thing have bloodloss or something to make it die? thanks :)

FOrgotten beasts are generated randomly so no. But you can make glass softer temporary and hope it dies :).

Eh i thought this removed all undead creatures? just lost another goddamn fortress to a pack of skeletal horses with just 3 goddamn segments left in the wall! After nearly a year of fighting their description page was so long it took 3 minutes to scroll through.

hmmm, check if [CANNOT_UNDEAD] is under the horse raw in creature_domestic. More fixes will be out soon.

Heh dear god you begin to appreciate what you've done when trying to find the horse raws(which i couldent find). Is there a way to specify only zombies and no skeletons? cause zombies arent invincible. If theres no way to make just zombies and not skeletons then theres honestly no reason to embark in an evil biome then which would solve my problem though its a damn shame cause UD filled caverns trump the shit out of normal caverns.

I tested an increase of SHOOT_MAXVEL from 100 to 1000; the test did not show any conclusive changes in performance of the crossbow.

The way I tested was with a Bronze xbow and bronze bolts,  using base 100 maxvel I would shoot at a dragon and see how far I penetrated with each shot.  Upon changing the value higher (I went to 100k, just to see if/how much of a cap it was giving) I would penetrate at least 1 additional layer, with some shots doing 2.  We may also be seeing less difference in the reworked version, since bolts have been given a much smaller impact area (a factor of 10), increasing their piercing ability, so they may be reaching max pierce distance regardless of the MAXVEL value.  I will play around with the numbers some more tonight/tomorow night and see if I can narrow it down more.

Is anyone else having problems building High Boots after installing this mod? For some reason I can't build them now... And this world was generated after applying it, yeah.

If we can name the blood whatever we want maybe we could say that skeletons die from marrow loss.

I don't know if skeletons can be given blood, buuuut perhaps we can give them white blood and call it bone dust?  I don't know if we can or not, but if we could give them actual dust for blood, that would be even better.  Could also solve the Colossus issue for the time being.
