My human is able to drink blood without being dehydrated. Is this normal?

Yes. It's normal. Adventurers can drink all sorts of fluids now. Water, blood, pus, strange liquids and other things.

And then they won't drink things like muddy water.

I always drink the blood of any semi/mega-beast I kill. I gain their strength.

I imagine we all do that.  I'm looking forward to butchering being an adventurer skill so we can cut out and eat the hearts of our foes.

I wonder if you can add "diseases" with positive effects?  Then we wouldn't just be cannibalistic serial killers.

I'm hoping it would be like mythology, like some creatures could grant you certain abilities when you drink their blood.

Agree, plus that's about the LAST thing *I* want to see from this kind of game - author spending valuable development time on useless graphics.

And then they won't drink things like muddy water.
They will drink it if they are sufficiently thirsty.

I think tentacle demons are out, so... no "unknown substance"

I too am curious about positive disease effects though...

White ichor may be gone, but I think you can drink "cream demon goo". Even better!

So, I tediously awaited the arrival of the dwarven caravan (I'm set up on a island, see)... And, they came. My fingers tingled, my nose twitched and my toes tickled... they came around the corner, over my bridge... Into my courtyard... Onto my trade depot...

Then everything near it exploded in a cloud of blood.

Should be like nethack, if you eat certain corpses you have a chance of getting intrinsic abilities.
