I was quite surprised to find that I had embarked next to a 65x65 pile filled with various crafts worth about 200k. I noticed some kobolds milling about and apparently they're friendly. Is this a bug or did I just get incredibly lucky?

I embarked near friendly kobolds in my final d40 game.

I wonder if this is intentional, and Kobolds and Goblins actually store the items they steal in worldgen.

If you start as a kobold in adventure mode, you'll find out that they don't live in caves.  They live wherever, more or less.

I assume it'd be too dangerous for them to live in caves right now considering what all else is down there.

Either way, isn't it nice to know that stuff kobolds steal have no owners anymore?
