Also, it depends on your strength and size difference.  A bronze colossus can rip a human's head off just about any time, but a human can only do it to another human when the other is unconscious.

I had to put my weapon/shield away, I tried it on a dwarf but to no success.  :\

I demand a screenshot of said elf pinching.   ???

I need to go to bed. Somehow, the round room seems to be physically bulging out of my screen. Optical illusions rule.

Oh snap.  Pinching peoples heads off.  Thats hard core.  A couple join locks and breaks will knock them unconscious.  After that a single pinched head pops it off like a 15 year old poping a zit.

You need to make said elf leather into the most amazing work of art.  Embed it with every kind of gem you have, stud it with metals, and sew images into it.  Erect a shrine outside your fort with that in the center.  Let the elves know that you view their very skin as naught more but a medium for your dwarves to work on.

For knocking things out, I found the fastest way is to just grab the throat and squeeeeeeeze.

I found out in arena mode that blizzard men can only be killed by pinching off all of their limbs.

This thread is epic win.

By the way, why doesn't wrestle-attacking limbs show up in announcements?
For example, if i grab an arm, then proceed to a lock-down and then break the limb, all the announcements will state is that i grabbed and locked the arm. Have i missed something?

Edit: Rad. o_o
I just pinched off an elf's nose.

Nice.

Nice.

Sweet Dude!! Dual-Wielding Elf Noses!!

Either this is a bug, or 'pinch' needs a more violent word...

Don't let legendary aunts pinch your cheeks.

Cheeks can't be pinched away (un?)fortunately.

This must be one of the more dreadful assassination techniques. xD
Picture someone running up to his target, grab his face and then perform a take-down. From here, he pinches out teeth until the victim faints and that is when the feared crab-pinch-to-the-throat is executed, and off goes the head.

This thread is full of win. Perhaps the next bug fix is going to reveal something like "fixed accidental use of Giant Pinchy Crab Megabeast Template for all creatures in wrestling mode".

Is there actually any other way to tear off stuff? I know that in the previous version, semi-megabeasts would occasionally somehow rip off libs. If I recall it correctly, other players managed to do so too, but I've never managed to replicate it myself.

Only by adding [CAN_LATCH] to natural attacks. Can latch is what allowed wolves to take chunks off of you and in 40d, could very probably allow megabeasts with bite attacks to tear your upper torso off.
