As for today, we were given a surprise visit by King Ratbastard.

That's one hell of a surname. Is it scottish?

Welsh.

last year, one of my classmates (a then junior) asked out an 8th grade guy.

they've been happily dating for over a year now.

Everyone finds it pretty disgusting. Even her close friends. Even after all this time.

2 years ain't that bad, but the cross-school thing is pretty taboo.

Are there no attractive girls at all in your school?

Well, here's the thing. She is in my school. It's a private school, and covers all grades. As for your question, yes, but it's a small class; there are three. One is taken, one is a slut, and the other is going through a breakup and I'd feel like king of the assholes if I took advantage of that. I'm not settling, though, don't get me wrong.

As for today, we were given a surprise visit by King Ratbastard, and what's worse he managed to find out what I'm planning to do. He just doesn't know who, though he's trying to find out. I was trying to sort of build up to it over the week at this point, but now it appears that I either must ask tomorrow, or wait and let him tell her. Which will suck.

Aaah, yes. I would take my money now, but we'll call it a draw if he actually goes through with it by the end of the week.

Okay, so, today this girl I know-Lauren, just took a sudden dis-interest in talking to me. Is she just on her period or something?

Well, today was... unexpected. I got on the bus, and as it turns out King Ratbastard was not there. After some 15 minutes of calling myself a coward and hesitating, I finally asked.

She said yes.  ;D

Too late, it's a draw!

Though, I admit, I am shocked. This is the first time anybody on the internet has ever asked for relationship advice and then been successful.

To best continue this relationship, I suggest doing something about King Ratbastard. Not beat him up. Just stop fearing him to the point that you call him King Ratbastard and can't talk to women around him. Seriously, it's rare that a teenager is actually influential or cunning enough to ruin your day on a regular basis without psychological torment. And no girl wants to be stuck with a psychologically damaged guy.

Well, some do, but you don't want those ones.
