Notes: 4 Granite 325
Cookie asked to be allowed to look for new spices in the area, to replenish the ones she'd have to plant. The elderly dwarf quickly became possessive of a large swath of the surrounding grass. Shouting at anyone who looked at the bushes meanly.
Thob admitted that he was no expert at wood burning, but, along with the engineer minded individuals of are group, he was able to set up a wood furnace. He took one of the logs I had thoughtfully brought and, with some difficultly, got a usable chunk of charcoal. Deon and Meng got a rough forge together. In no time at all, we had a workable copper axe.
Arc was quite happy to see the weapon. The haft on his old axe had worn away on the trip. The axehead had been on the late, lamented wagon we lost. I had made a deal with the tall dwarf. He'd get the new axe, but he'd have to use it to chop trees.
The dwarf had preferred something with stone, but Arc figured that Arc would be more helpful if Arc hit trees instead. He quickly got to work providing use with more lumber.
I decided that it would be a good idea to gather all of the newly chopped lumber in one place. Meng responded by unloading the nicely stacked lumber from the wagon.

QuirinoEach of the miners swung his newly made copper pick (Deon had a finely crafted one, Ineth had grabbed the 2nd best. Meng hadn't cared, and had grabbed the worst of the bunch).
Quirino pulled out a bottle of expensive dwarven champagne. Each of the present members took a swig. They smashed the bottle and shouted together.
"Strike the Earth!"
They dug down, into a andestite and stibinite. The miners decided to dig towards the softer earth. It'd be quicker to dig a cavern to store the perishable food in. In no time at all, the food was safely underground, in the roomy cavern.
The drawing of the cavern was the last page in the stone portfolio.
