Can't Make Charcoal

I have a furnace, I have a dedicated Furnace Guy with Wood Burning enabled on him (3 of them, actually, just to be sure). Plenty of wood nearby the Wood Burning Furnace. Tried adding Make Charcoal order directly inside the furnace and also through a manager order. No dice. None of them make charcoal. :(

Is this a 2010 bug or am I being dumb? Or both? D:

Have you enabled furnace operating or wood burning(under farming/related)?

Thanks, I hadn't! Derp! Enabled Wood Burning in Farming/Related (I guess you use the wood burning yo make fertilizer or something?)

Yeah, something like that. I think you can make ash, which then can be used for making soap or potash. Or something.
