Should wait for toady to allow us to make tilesets for the environment first. (ie: floor, walls, and wooden /metal /glass /stone chests) That way, it would be possible to create a front-end where the player will know that the creature he's fighting is either a elephant, or a elf.

Personaly i think that ivan's 3d more looks retarded. More like some very old beta of runescape 3d.

1. Dont mention that name ever again.

2. It looks more like the so-called 3D (which are actually 2.5D) of some games that were made for the NES and DOS. Games like "Ultima Exodus" and "Dungeon Master" respectively.
Also all the Doom and Build engine games (Doom/Hexen/Heretic, and Duke Nukem 3D/Shadow Warrior) operated under the same principle of 2.5D graphics


2.5D being a 2D image being displayed vertically, relative to the view. Isometric is 2.5D (Fallout; XCOM; Survival Crisis Z) [However, they maintain their 2D-like physics, being constrained to only XY movement; Z axis can only be simulated.]

I think that was just a 3d view of what has been dug, and was mostly for debugging.   I dunno if he left it in or not.
