It's probably a regional slang thing but look up "polishing a one eyed gopher" on urbandictionary.com.

Also, the ass monster refers to a donkey "ass" I'm pretty sure, but the way it's worded is hilarious.

The "ass" monster is probably referring to a donkey, but it was definitely done deliberately, as everywhere else in the game donkeys are just called "donkeys."  I guess to make the demonic version seem more coarse and crude to our modern language sensibilities.  ...And also so we could have ass-monsters.

Gah, i'd love to read the creature description, but some basic image editing would make this far more plausible.

(1) for the love of god crop out all the blackspace at the bottom.

(2) shrinking the image display so it actually fits on a normal size monitor would be nice.  I've got 1400 pixels across mine - any image from DF that won't fit on that is stupidly large.

I'm lazy. I have a big monitor and really don't care if someone is too lazy to use their scrollbar. It's in spoiler tags for a reason.

I assumed it was because of demons in christian mythology referred too as having the form of an ass, rather than donkey.
