And the Caravan just left too... I highly doubt my strange mood is going to live much longer.

Yeah. I tend to use my full name, street address, and social security number as Dwarven first names from time to time.

Also: good lord. I mean sure it's more 'realistic' but that is a LOT of thread.

This is apparently expected behavior that has to do with the new medical system. You don't want to have to spend the same amount of thread to suture shut an inch-long cut as to make a bolt of cloth big enough to make a big sack, so now each pig tail plant/spider silk tile/other thread source turns into 15,000 thread units rather than 1. Then, sutures take a small number, while cloth takes a full 15000.

As far as the continuing mechanics go (clothesmaking, basically) it's the same, but you don't need quite so rediculous amounts of material for medical use as you might otherwise.

So saving your moody dwarf will probably just have to wait until the thread gets stockpiled before your weaver can actually weave with it. Not too bad.

By chance I happened to use my real name for that dwarf.

Guys, you never know. It's generally a bit safer to err on the side of rampant paranoia, especially when it comes to net security. Yeah, okay, his first name probably wouldn't be at all useful unless someone was stalking him, but if he feels better whiting it out, why should we care? Names are just a series of sounds and shapes assigned to a person.

tl;dr: Ain't funny, McGee.

The best part is we probably wouldn't even have commented about or noted the custom name if you hadn't whited it out. I'm almost positive nobody would have gone "Hey that's his real name!"

But since you did, we all want to know.

Yay psychology.
