How Can I tell me retard dwarves to go take a drink? Sure, I ran out of booze, but there's a freaking underground lake RIGHT THERE! some will go drink, but the rest just stand in he meeting area, dying of thirst. I'm working on moving my full fortress down below, when I kill the Giant toad, but this is seriously hampering me. There's also plenty of murky pools on the surface. *sigh*

set a water source zone. If that dosnt work, save, turn off DF, and boot it.

One of my miners accidentally tunneled into the side of an underground water system.  As I'm desperately trying to get him to dig himself out to safety he stops mining because he is thirsty.  The water is up to his ears and he can't get a drink.

Reboot DF and see if it helps.

Just thinking the same thing.

Anyway, sometimes they just go batty. It can be a good idea to draft them sometimes for a "kick in the pants" but I have no idea if that works with the new version or not.

The reboot thing is actually a good choice dude save and reboot. Failing that, save scum. Sometimes it breaks the loop the game has gotten itself into and is causing the bug.
