Before you get too far with this. you forgot to give your original group storage items influence. So say that shaman staff, didn't get the half influence boost from components.

That was actually on purpose. I figured that since it was given from the ship, the influence of the item created would be unaffected by these "donated" items.

Make a sword out of the technetium, using the pine log as the handle.

That was actually on purpose. I figured that since it was given from the ship, the influence of the item created would be unaffected by these "donated" items.

technically the items in group storage are supposedly the remaining from the cycle previous to the one the creators are using. But whatever works. :)

More immediately, though, you can't use items from peoples' inventories; just group storage.

I drop the foul ooze and 3 units of sand into group storage.  My fellows may use either as they see fit.
I claim a pine log and craft it into pearlash (with the skill furnace operating, I hope?)
