Never heard of Frube. Is it, like, a brand of candy sold in the UK?

It's like a tube of yoghurt that is often eaten by removing the top, placing it in your mouth and pushing along the tube like one of the little packets of tomato sauce. Think about the dwarves gripping the maggot firmly then squeezing from top to bottom.

Oh, I know what you mean.

Hm...that could work, though it spawns a nasty mental image.

as we all know, dwarves will do anything to get a drink (at least used to), this makes me wonder.....if a dwarf is thirsty enough wether he will drink straight from the cow....
 just food for thought........

You do wonder about the consistency of this maggot milk, don't you.

No. I never used purring maggots in any fort I built so I never had to worry about dwarven milk/cheese.

I was just wondering about the actual thickness/appearance of this so called dwarven milk. I mean, surely it wouldn't be like a nice big glass of cow's milk, would it? Maybe of a more gelatinous texture?

I'm thinking something more soupy, more...viscous. Such as molasses.

With an off-white color. Y'know, kinda beige-ish.

The truly amazing thing for me here is that a 6 page thread can be created of exceedingly high quality, simply because a group of manic depressive, schizophrenic midgets were able to milk a cow.

We have here a Thread. It is of masterwork quality. It mences with spikes of cow leather. On the thread is an image of a dwarf and a maggot in tower-cap. The dwarf is milking the maggot. The maggot is making a plantive gesture. On the thread is an image of maggot milk and an elf in elf skin. The elf is screaming.

Cheese doesn't have item quality yet does it? :(

I hope it will soon.

I think cooking should expand into the world of cheeses rather deeply when it's fully implemented. I mean, there must be several hundred types of cheeses, as with the methods; dwarven blue cheeses, cream cheese, Jarlsberg, feta, cheddar, the list goes on.

Not every cheese is the obvious yellow block full of holes, after all.

Maybe if you leave your cheese in a room for just the right amount of time, it grows that blue fungus and becomes more valuable.
