Question about Carpium [HFS SPOILERS, STAY OUT]

Has anyone discovered a way to get some of the new secret HFS material? Mining it out seems impossible but you can use weapons made of it in Arena mode.

I assume you mean the one that's not adamantine. I managed to get one item of the actual rock but I'm not sure how. It happened while I was digging upwards into a smooth slade floor.

mayhaps you need adamantium picks and legendary miners. Har.

Nah, i don't think it's intended for use. You can up-ramp or down-ramp (not channel, just designate up-ramps below the surface) into areas that the game hasn't revealed as slade (but that you know are slade) and dig out stones of it, but each one weighs 14,000...dwarf-pounds? Anyhow, it's very likely a bug you're able to do it

You can't seem to designate it as economic stone, you can set up a stockpile for it (oddly enough), so you can't really build much with it. the only thing i can see that you can use it for is rock short swords, and attempting to complete one with a slade boulder and a tower-cap log resulted in...a tower cap short sword, weight 1.

I'm going to call it carpium from now on  :D
The raws show it as a metal, but the only known use is to "stud with carpium" in the manager.

and you can't stud anything with carpium because it requires carpium bars, and not carpium boulders, evidently

MY thought is maybe it's used for strictly strange moods, since there also seems to be gold armor in the arena list.

It seems it's ideal for blunt weapons because of it's weight.  It seems this stuff outperforms all others as a warhammer, if you can somehow make one...
