Mine was to a armless bronze colossus. Charged me knocking me down. Then he kicked my shield arm breaking it. Then he kicked me around for a bit. I tried to fight back with my bronze halbred... but.. he broke my hand... then I passed out to the pain. Then he was free to kick my guts and brains out >.>

Grabbed by the tooth by epic level Ettin and thrown at the wall or floor?  Didn't matter where.  I exploded on impact.

EDIT: Quite possible the takedown move...  I stood-up to try to run...

After slaying a dragon his head exploded due to GLOBAL WARMING and try as he may to find the hidden entrance to its cave, the poor adventurer only wound up at the bottom of a murky pool. To starve. Success!

First adventurer: put all skillpoints in biting, found a bronze colossus, got splattered.

Second: put all my points into swordfighting, went for revenge, neither could do any damage till the other, till I tripped and fell 1 Z level.

I was killed by a bronze colossus who I'd been beating on for probably an hour real-time. He got a lucky shot on my foot, crushing it and I couldn't stand anymore, it all went downhill from there.

Yes.

I received an arrow to the throat from point blank range.
It took the skin off my cheek, too.

Killed the guy and ran to hide while waiting for the bleeding to stop.
Went to sleep.  Didn't wake back up.

Got into a fight with a hydra.  My dwarf swinging a hammer.  No meatshields.

Ended up bleeding to death with no eyes, both ears torn off and several broken fingers and toes.

The fight went on for ages - whenever I passed out the damn thing would just playfully nip at me until I recovered enough to fight on.
