So he should probably hold the spear in his beak and the shield should be stripped to his body. (Or they use their wings to hold them..)

Actually the 'arms' are a part of his 'wings'... so really they are arm-wings... or maybe wing-arms. Who knows. But I say it 'tis an awesome picture!

The symbol on the wiki is too small to see which it is.

However, it does say that they are liked for their curving trunks.
Which is funny because they happen to be the symbol | and it isn't curvy.

When in tree-form, they are indeed pink. As soon as you cut one down and turn it to log-form, it becomes purple.

When in tree-form, they are indeed pink. As soon as you cut one down and turn it to log-form, it becomes purple.

so, fresh tunnel tube is pink, but once it dries and hardens it becomes darker
