Not that I know of, but you could try casting some obsidian walls by dumping water.

i accidentally set some grass on fire, it is expanding.
it is also seems to be killing my FPS, although that might have something to do with me draining a magmaduct aswell.

said draining also caused the fire.

is there anyway to make my fort playable again?
i dont have a save of before the fire started. :<

Channels will block the fire from spreading, and it should burn itself out after it runs out of grass.

Question: Is there a way to build a wall or floodgate from above? I managed to accidentally dig a hole in the side of an adamantine vein and let a bunch of lava come flooding in diagonally.
Construct a down staircase directly above then you'd be able to. However, it's say the area is flooded if you try to do it in magma.

Using a DFhack tool to make it rain will put out bushfires, too.

Yep. The tool can make rain in tundras and make it snow in deserts. Anything is possible with a little bit of memory accessing.

I believe that stockpiles will keep fire from spreading as well.

If I set my dwarves to indiv choice melee will they pick one weapon type and stick with it? I recall one of my forts awhile back I used that option and one of my soldiers was dabbling in nearly everything, but it could have been a coincidence

I heard your like sieges so I put a Goblin fortress in your fortress so you could siege while besieged.

They usually choose the highest valued weapon, so if you keep churning out better quality weapons they will probably switch constantly.

how long do I have until I have to complete mandates? The wiki said 1 year, but it's only like 3 months and mine have already turned red.

Nope. Not any more. Just tried that with my current fort.

There are many issues with this statement.
