'Urist Mcfeymood wants body parts!'

What is this? I have bones, skulls, ivory, and teeth. Do I need a corpse? A specific body part?

Why does every first mood for me fail? It's always wanted silk when I can't get any, or turtle shells when I can't get any, and now that I finally have both it wants this.

In 40d you could wait until the economy appeared and then look at the cost to rent a room, but you can't find the precise value of a room in-game in DF2010.
Off the top of my head and completely untested, you could assign the room in question to a noble that has room requirements, and then go into the raws and fiddle with their room requirements until the room changes to / from being good enough. I'm pretty sure it wouldn't require a regen, but you'd have to close and restart the DF .exe a lot.

Honestly at the time, I didn't see what could go wrong with crowding 80 military Dwarves into a small room with a necromancer for the purpose of making bacon.

All you need to do is check the Rooms menu and find the room(s) in question. It will take their value into account and refer to them as "Grand Bedroom," "Royal Mausoleum," "Decent Office," "Burial Chamber," etc.

Getting spammed with "job cancelled, item misplaced" by many dwarves. Any way to pinpoint what they cant get to?
usually an item in a bin, or an item placeholder in a bin which has since been moved.

Okay, but is there a way to find out which bin it is? I can't begin to think of which bin it might be or why.

What is happening wrong here? Are they trying to stockpile something thats already in a bin, or what?

He may want a specific part, or animal,  best way to find out is slaughter something, he gets first dibs.

In most of my observed cases, sometimes bins get assigned to a particular stockpile like say, finished goods or weapon, but didnt get moved to that stockpile right away. However, it's still a legit bin to stuff things into, so a hauler try to put appropriate items in it. As he's en route to the bin, the bin is moved to the stockpile it's assigned to. The original hauler is now confused as he notice there's no bins there, cancelling the job. Other cases usually follow similar scenarios.

In my experience, dwarves who want bones often want a LOT of bones. Slaughter things until he is satiated.

Not that I know of aside from suggesting it to toady so we can tweak it in the announcement or making the report more meaningful or lock the objects to the job so nobody move it.

I just realized this is more of a problem than i thought. Two of my dwarves are starving, spamming this notification in my announcements. They seem to be unable to find any of the rest of my food, or are fixated on one food they cant get. The barrels they are sitting on -

Nevermind, hes dead of starvation as i typed this. He was standing over a prickle berry wine barrel.

Also - just had the second artifact made in my fort that included 5+ material types, and only described one (the base) in the description. All the materials were consumed but none showed up? Whats up with that?

you need to build the cage with b-j before you can q it. Alternatively, pit the animals then you dont need to build the cage.

wine is not food. Next time dont brew all of the fruits away. Do you have any problems with burrow by any chance?

Bone base artifacts are bugged and nuke everything else on it.
