press tab, i have found that these are usually cave lobster and trout or such

i got a question.  it says milker cancelled milk handling dangerous animal, when all i have is donkeys cows horses and a mule in the cage...  what do i do and how do i milk them?

im writing to ask if theres a lull or pause in ambushing between when the sieges start?
you probably should upgrade to .18 to get proper sieges. Or play fortress defense mod.

grr i am in .18, and i may have to look into that mod because what i enjoy most in DF is defensive strategy and all that business and whatnot
That's interesting, can you check if the goblin civ is extinct for whatever reason?

Ok, I pressed tab, and found they are just cave fish and lobsters, I zoomed to them, and they are about 12 z-levels under my mine, but why are they there, in stacks or 4-12, already prepared, and within 10 squares of each other?

They belong to the underground civilization.

im not certain how to check if they're extinct but in the civilization page there i a P next to them, as opposed to a W for war i assume.... hmm

a dwarf starved to death, it is an important dwarf (my only master warrior atm)  and i just implemented the mod for nerve healing, how can i make a dwarf feed them asap and another give them water?

Have one or two dwarves standing by with all labors except those oriented with helping patients disabled.


ADDENDUM:

Find the creatures_standard notepad file under DF -> Raws -> Objects, then search for "creature tokens" on the wiki. After some research, you should be able to edit dwarves so that they do not need food.

Just put [NO_EAT][NO_DRINK] somewhere in the dwarf's creature definition.

Open up the creature_standard txt. files in the above mentioned directory. The first creature on the list is "dwarf." In the second main body of text you should see this:

Add [NO_EAT] and (if you don't want to have to worry about thirst, either) [NO_DRINK] to that list, so that it looks like this:

[NO_EAT][NO_DRINK]
[CANOPENDOORS]
[PREFSTRING:beards]

thanks, i have three goblin ambushes on the edge of the map, however even though i have dwarves outside my fortress cutting wood they go no farther than their spawn points, how do i entice them to come closer and enter my fort?
