Can bridges be destroyed by building destroyers? If so, can they be destroyed when raised, lowered or both?

Raised they are considered wall and indestructible. They will be destroyed when lowered by building destroyers not standing on them. Building destroyers do not touch objects supporting their own weight or maybe path.

Is it normal to have two animal-man civilisations? In my current fortress I have an Unkown Amphibian Civilisation and a Cave Swallow Man civilisation living in the caverns below (I only found out about them after my bookkeeper started doing high-precision counts and the Bookkeeping Gods informed him of the location of several piles of preserved food lying about 20 z-levels down).

In at least one of my forts, I have two animal civs, so it probably isn't a bug.

These are Dwarfs not Humans.  They have completely different needs/morals/lives than we do.  Besides, it's only a game.

Dwarf babies need alcohol.

Dwarf babies need alcohol.

They're born on the field of battle, next to magma, or with chips of rock flying into their faces.  Instead of holding them upside down and spanking their bottoms, they have alcohol shoved down their throats to BURN the mucus away.

Actually, a little alcohol for kids isn't that bad. I had beer as a kid, albeit watered-down.

I've known plenty of grandparents who would use alcohol to sooth a colicky or teething child... not so common anymore, though.

So, I'm in adventure mode, 31.17, and my human had her ear shattered by a giantess. Now, it is infected, and I'm wondering how I can avoid dying from an infected ear.

You completely missed the point that was being made here: "Needs alcohol to finish the working day."
Everyone knows that kids don't work.

Doesn't have to be the kid's working day.  They grow up strapped to their mother's backs as they wrestle bears, dig through rock, forge steel, channel magma, etc.  When my mom finally went on break I'd probably be like "Thank god the working day's over... I need some alcohol"

I am fairly certain that fast travelling still heals most wounds, though sleeping in a safe place could also work.
