you, as an adventurer, yes. from the military uniform screen... dunno, never tested, but taking a wild guess I'd say... bugged.  ;D

I have a partial aquifer that's also partially connected to the caverns and is promtly flooding it. Since the intersection isnt much, it wont be able to flood ALL the cavern because of evaporation. However, it's killing my FPS and i'd try to deal with it ASAP although this also imply breaching the cavern early. Any suggestion?

if you aren't opposed to cheating, dfhack can simply paint an obsidian wall!

How many seeds can you store in one barrel?

I'm trying to keep my seeds close to my farms on a one-tile food stockpile that only accepts seeds but I'm getting the feeling there may be a maximum amount it can hold.

Seeds must be stored in bags before they can be stored in barrels, 15(?) seeds to a bag, I don't know how many bags to a barrel.

I got a message that I was allowed to promote a Dwarf to Baron. I turned down the offer. But I figure nobles don't show up anymore you get to grow your own.

What's a War Peasant? It's seems to act like a cross between a slave and a war dog.

Got rid of the Thief by making him Captain of the Guard. Does a great job never arrests anyone unless they throw a tantrum.

What should I do with 4 new children arrivals?

The drunks/war peasants/hunting peasants are a bug.
They cannot do "normal" jobs.
What version are you using?

Yes I'm still using .13. He's doing hauling, caging, and uncaging jobs. But yes, I can't give him skills and skilled labor.

I think getting to a later version will fix the bugged migrants.
If it does not, you still won't get any more, so it's a semi-win.

That'd be exellent temporary FPS fix. Can it also remove the wall later when I'm ready for !!SCIENCE!!?

If you upgrade to the latest version, he'll become a normal dwarf.

Can anyone help me with adventure mode? I just started playing in .16 and have no clue what I'm doing, I started as a human bowman but am not sure how to attack with the bow, and any other keys I might need to know.

Never mind, I just realized the help section is for adventure mode too :/

Is shopkeeper a profession, or do I have to keep searching every citizen until I find someone to trade with?
