I'm looking for sunberries. What biomes are considered "wet"?

I've never looked for sun berries, but I believe that "wet" refers to plants that grow near pools and rivers and not to any specific biome. So any non-freezing, good area with vegetation and surface water should have what you're looking for.

After a lot of examination of the game I'm not certain it actually works like that in practice -- for example, sliver barb (which has the "dry" tag) only grows in certain biomes, regardless of whether there's water nearby or not.

Looking at the raws for sliver barb, the relevant tags are [DRY][EVIL][BIOME:NOT_FREEZING]. So it should grow anywhere that meets those conditions (and has vegetation). You've looked extensively in a non-freezing evil biome and not found any?

Which attributes can be trained? Will a dwarf ever stop being weak/clumsy?

Have people had some interesting games with low population caps? I find that if I have close to the limit (200?) dwarves, I get lots of dwarves that do nothing all day, grow so much food the stockpile becomes full quickly, and so on. I was thinking of limiting it to maybe 20 so that I can make a room for each dwarf. Have some people here tried this?

I rarely set the cap higher than 50, and never beyond 80. My computer's a total piece of crap, granted, and many more than 80 dwarves means I'm lucky to get FPS in the double digits, but there's also the fact that I simply have difficulty finding stuff for that many dwarves to do. Unless you're working on like four megaprojects at once, there's no reason to have 200 dwarves.

For organization purposes, I order my dwarves to wear armor instead of clothing. Are there any disadvantages to this? Mail shirt, breastplate, helm, left/right gauntlet, shield, 2 high boots, greaves and weapon should cover all bases, right?
add robe or dress. in my arena tests 15x(armored and robed dwarves) vs 15x(armored dwarves)
the last dwarves standing was
2x(armored and robed dwarves)

as i can undrstand [UBSTEP:MAX] armor (robe and dress) covers throat

[WET] means a plant will only grow within two tiles of water (pool or river).
[DRY] means it will grow more than two tiles away from water.

For an example of the [WET] and [DRY] tags in action, look at willow trees and pine trees, respectively.

Yes. Search the forums for "sliver barbs" and there've been a few threads on this -- there are a couple of consistent trends, like sliver barb always shows up if glumprong shows up, but it doesn't always show up in any non-freezing evil biome as long as you're more than a couple squares away from a murky pool or other water source. Either "dry" is a general biome tag OR there are multiple kinds of "evil" biome, i.e., undead evil vs. mythical evil, and sliver barb only shows up in mythical-evil, OR there's some other explanation I haven't figured out yet. But I can post saves of evil, non-freezing biomes without sliver barb (they'll be 3.11 or so, but new-version).
