I encountered a forgotten beast, and one of my axe dwarves stumbled upon it alone. He was adequate axedwarf, dabbling wrestler, adequate fighter etc. So a pretty low level guy. I sent 7 more axedwarves as a back up, and while they were coming, this lone guy somehow became elite wrestler. He jumper to level 11 fighter and level 12 wrestler. During the prolonged fight with the beast the same thing happened to another axedwarf.

So I assume these magical level ups are bug of some sort?

Edit: as an added bonus now he is training everyone else to be a wrestler... That's just awesome. Not like military training process was already slow or anything.

Yea thats normal. Also, give your Dwarfs a bath. They MAY have gotten Forgotten Beast poison on them.

Yea as in that's a bug that happens a lot, or yea as in that's working as intended. In which case, any particular reason why my dorfs turned into elite wrestlers and not axelords?

Probably, he was grappled by the FB, so he had to fight with wrestling instead of his axe. It skilled fast because wrestling attacks seem to happen a LOT quicker than weapon ones, which makes sense.

Well, combat reports DO say that he was grabbed by the FB, but pretty much instantly after that he became elite wrestler. So I'm still not sure whether I should feel lucky or like a damned cheater.

1. I want to build a tower with a square base and makes the base of every level smaller until the top, but the game does not let me build walls above floors, so I can only make every level in the same size. How to do it?

2. Isn't a way to change the maximum height and weight that you can use to build a floor/wall to schedule more than a 10x10 area every time?

Assuming you mean build not buy, make the walls double-thick on the levels it goes in.

All I have is Lye in buckets, how do I change that?

Well thats what I have, right next to Lye- and Soapworkshops. Got empty barrels 10 squares away.
Guess I'll have to wait longer then?

I think they won't transfer it if the lye is in a bucket along with water as seems to happen a lot to me.  Just 'k' over the bucket to check.

I  met "becoming capital" requirements in the nobles screen year ago. Dorf caravan came and left without mentioning my deed.
