i caught about 6 mountain goats and i wanna know if they are milkable

I think so, but I might just be thinking of the regular goats from a mod. Tame the goats, build farmer's workshop, designate someone as a milker, and designate the milking job.

Question of my own:

If I use an adventurer as the pawn to spark a war between two civilizations, will those civilizations be at war permanently, or can they eventually declare peace?

heya, thanks again Tolyk. I just wanted to make sure, being that I'm not sure the whole blacklisting organizations counts as a real war.

technically though, you can have civs everywhere now (instead of just "markers" and cities for humans) you can make a little mod that only affects adventure mode.

In the entity_default.txt file, find each civ and change their settlement types ("preferred_settlement" I think?) to "city" and they should build human-like cities that you can explore in DF

Already done. :)

I was talking about wars, though. I want to start a war between two civs and then play as one for an interesting game, but was hoping that the war wouldn't been permanent.

You cant start war. They punish your forts for killing merchants.

That's actually not exactly right. You can't start wars by killing someone (only you become an enemy of them) but if you actually have them run after you (I did that once, was really funny) you lead them to another civ. they will probably (hopefully) attack each other (well if it's your own civ more likely) and a war will start.

I've done that twice, once in .15 and once in .18 but only when the civs were basically overlapping.

If you hit your artifact/strange mood limit, and you atom smash one of your existing artifacts, will this free up an artifact slot?
How can I check "strange mood limit"?

How can I keep caverns save? - for now I have to manually order [ s ]quad to [ k ]ill things.
How can I set automatic cancellation for kill orders after there are done? - I lost one squad when stupid dwarves dehydrated over body of GS.

Is that with fortress mode or adventure mode?

Adventure.

How can I check "strange mood limit"? how many ddwarves do you have? i think it goes until population - 20

How can I keep caverns save? - for now I have to manually order [ s ]quad to [ k ]ill things. wall them off. from top to bottom to prevent fliers.
How can I set automatic cancellation for kill orders after there are done? - I lost one squad when stupid dwarves dehydrated over body of GS. bugged right now
above in bold.

But how can I clean them in efficient way?

So with 55 population I cannot have more than 35 artefacts?

If ya don't need them usable - magma.
No other way than militia or friendly cave civ (very unlikely)

Yeah, 55 I think is capped at 35.

Can anyone link me to a page with a description of how to pumpstack magma without flooding my fort with the warmness?

Forgotten Beasts seem to be akin to Toady playing Russian Roulette with your fortress, as they can be anything from harmless giant worms made of mud to necrotic-gas spewing nigh-invunerable iron hydras of doom.

But how can I use military in efficient way? (without manual selection of every single creature)
