But I'm wondering why my FPS is so shaky, it's never been like that before.

During season change, I also notice map tend to flicker when snow begin to melt, which probably contribute to the lag as well.

Do traction benches need to be next to the bed, or next to a surgery table in a hospital? No, but it seems to help as dwarves are not very good with handling bench <-> distance

I meant which one should it be next to, since doctors can't seem move Dwarves for surgery more than one space.

Do glass floors let light through?

I wanted to make a green house inside my fort, but I  didn't want to have an area open to the sky, where flying building destroyers (mostly HFS) could get in and wreck my fort.

Not really, but in the process you'll expose the area to light which for all intents and purposes us pretty much identical. You'll avoid cave adaptation, can plant aboveground plants, and (I think, haven't tested this) be able to make a refuse pit there without miasma.

Just build a floor on the top layer of your building. Building destroyers cannot destroy constructions so floors are for the most part invulnerable.

(B) -> (C) -> (f) for floors, and designate them as you would for walls.

You should have several staircases going up and down to let your masons onto the roof.

If a dwarf's status says s/he is tired, what does that imply? Thank you.

It means that they will fall asleep soon, and any work done before then is of slightly lesser quality.

falling asleep is Drowsy not tired. Dwarves usually get tired from military-related activities such as blocking a certain wooden spear so many times in a row and it'd cause them to increasingly fail to block/dodge and decrease in their overall "dice rolls"

(B) -> (C) -> (f) for floors, and designate them as you would for walls.

Just for clarification, that's a little b, big c, little f.

Then resize it like a farm plot using u, m, k and h.

Then place it with enter.

At least one of the tiles you're placing has to be NEXT to a walkable tile. This can be the top of a constructed wall on the level below, or if you've just channeled into the top layer of soil, any of the remaining soil tiles next to the hole.

If you are placing it on top of walls (like a roof over a constructed house) then you should construct a ramp on the OUTSIDE of the walls to allow access to the roof, then remove it later. Ramps are in the build constructions menu (b-C) then think "r". Removal of ramps is d-n for "remove construction"
