What does the command "r:Remv Cre" for in the Unit List window (Wiki is of no help AFAIK)
It seems to work for only on some of the dwarves.

TIA

Ok, so, can I pump from a staircase?
nope.

about building destroyers, they seem to only destroy stuff on the same z-level, so the ramp idea, or the hatch one, would work. but you can try  ;D

I can confirm that; hatches and floor grates can't be destroyed from beneath.

Though it's pretty handy when the caravans/liason are in town and your mayor and broker would rather play hauler.

Is it normal to get an Elf liason in Autumn? I've never had it happen before.

Maybe he got caught in a... zombie... elephant... storm?

He arrived with the Dwarven traders. My Get-Free-Stuff-From-Dead-Elves Machine isn't ready yet!

Is it possible to import a single dwarf from a previous fort to a new one?

I had a particularly cool dwarf in an old fortress that I ended up giving up on (not abandoned, just stopped playing it). Can I bring that dwarf to my new fortress somehow?

If he arrived with the Dwarven traders, then likely an elf civ got conquered by the dwarves and this fellow was assimilated.

Does the chance to take someones weapon away from them depend on your wrestling skill? I've been trying for awhile to take this goblin's crossbow but all I keep doing is releasing my grip on it

I heard your like sieges so I put a Goblin fortress in your fortress so you could siege while besieged.

Ramps are for elves.

ramps are very good for fps. use staircases sparingly or avoid them completely if you can. this has been tested btw by others and me (on 31.16 atm) and in my experience, works wonderfully.

Your wrestling skill. Your strength. Whether or not they are hurt.

Also - if they are stunned or asleep it will work 100%. So bash them in the head with your shield or something before you try to take away the weapon.

Toady typically doesn't do things by half measures.  As evidenced by turning "make hauling work better" into "implement mine carts with physics".
There are many issues with this statement.

Alright, two things. I embarked in a savage desert, and right of the freaking bat some buzzards stole some stuff from my wagons. This was less than a minute after the initial unpause. Is there any way to prevent this?

Secondly, what's the formula for irrigating farms with a murky pool?
