I don't think I've seen them show up under anything but "all," but then I haven't looked hard. Or you should be able to search for them specifically.

Don't worry, I must have been playing DF for 4 years.  I discovered the trade depot search function maybe a month ago.

Since I made my marksdwarf squad they have littered my map in bolts from killing wild beasts. Can I claim these back?, I know I cant take the broken ones but there are loads of non broken ones.  Thanks

You can indeed get them back press k then select the bolts ( individually sadly ) then press f to claim, also use the o orders menu to automatically claim back your used ammunition though be aware that civilian dwarfs may charge out whilst your under siege to grab them without burrows being set-up  ;)

um doesnt d->b->d->c and boxing work for bolts?  i thought it did

i think the question was understood but the topic got derailed too fast :P

in any case, i dont think it prevents hatching and i dont think the other posters think so either, thus the derailment into whether they'll fight or not as that is more possibly a problem

No, eggs will hatch as soon as they are ready to; provided they're being incubated throughout.

(d)(b)(c) does work but it's often easier to reclaim via the stocks screen.

yeah i'm just saying because jimbo said you can reclaim them with k and thats even harder than the stocks screen

well maybe not harder, just inefficient

i just d-b-c around the areas i know fights have happened then use the stocks screen or just vgrep around for the rest
