will they drink from murky pools?

Yes, but only if nothing else is available, and they'll wait longer until doing so (so they get more dehydrated), and they'll get unhappy thoughts from the dirty water.

Drawbridges can be used to completley shut out any invaders that can't fly. This has a lot of useful purposes. For example, you could raise the drawbridge that directly connects you to the outside world. This could be used to force any invaders through a labyrinth of traps to weaken their numbers. At other times you can keep the bridge lowered, allowing dwarves to go outside without having to go through the aforementioned trap labyrinth.

Anyways, I have a question of my own. On the wiki, it says windows can be constructed from gems. Yet no matter where I look I can not find the command to create gem windows. Where is it?

The dummies aren't putting bars into bins, even though I have plenty of bins available. What gives?

They are lazy, or the stockpile doesn't accept bins.

There are many issues with this statement.

Why are my dorfs not sleeping in their assigned rooms? They either sleep in the barracks or some other dorfs room.

I believe it is a known bug. I've not found any way around it as of yet.

Why do my dwarves immediately attack my stray tame cave crocodiles whenever I let them out of their cages? I don't believe any of the crocs managed to kill dwarves before being tamed. Is there a tag I need to add to their raws?

Dwarves that have worked until exhausted will collapse into the nearest bed instead of seeking their own. This should be much less prevelent in .07.

Can I farm on dry dirt underground yet?  I'm not sure if this has been fixed or not.

Nope. Needing mud is a feature, not a bug.

They should pick them up themselves if you have told them to carry food and drink.
