Just had a squad of four dwarfs clad head to toe in high quality iron plate and iron weapons completely decimated by an ambush of goblin pikemen and wrestlers in leather armor. Fun times. They didn't kill even one. The goblins then moved on to slaughter the human caravan's guards, again without casualties.

With the new version it is best to at least have leather, chainmail, and plate on at the same time. A pike may get past the plate but so far for me it has not got past the chain. The leather is good for blunt force attacks such as a hammer. But now it all depends on what the armor is made out of too. And arrows are laughable at best, the only time I lost a dwarf to one was when it hit his eye and sent skull fragments in to his brain. A helm could prevent this.

...leather, chain and plate? I don't even know how to do that, not to mention the absurdity of trying to move in all that. :p

Just set your uniforms to have all 3, they will put them all on.

I think Goblins have been buffed... Me as a GM Swordmaster/GM Fighter Human vs. three or four Novice Swordsmen/Novice Fighter goblins and they parried every. single. strike.

Eventually I just threw my sword and them and tossed myself in the lava pit.
