Talk about your first worldgen in 0.31
« on: April 01, 2010, 07:38:32 am »

I got up at after 4AM, found 0.31 was out, downloaded.
The first world generated using default parameters was Camade Alino, "The Realm of Dawns".
There's a stream called Earthenhammer. That's where I'll STRIKE THE EARTH!
And no elves.

I genned a world for 1050 years (Still Age of Myth. Those new megabeasts are tough!) and I read about a hydra who had many people worshipping her and who had gone through 50 rampages over the course of her lifetime.

One human town also suffered from 86 monster rampages.

Is it just me, or does the entire world seem to be more resource abundant? Trees seem a lot denser, more, thicker veins of miners, higher density of gem clusters, the works.

I get aquifers in 95% of non-mountainous areas every time...
Also took me a few gens until I finally got a world with all races alive after 400 years.
New megabeasts seems hardcore, none of them dies during worldgen.

I just genned my first world. It stopped at 1050 and is still in the age of myths. :D I looked in legends and saw a creature who was described as "a humanoid made of vomit". This is going to be so awesome. Also, my miner is wearing an "elk bird leather robe".  ;D

My first world with has  1050 years of history and abundance of mega beasts. It is pretty varied, not a lot of water, but vast amount of biomes. Also I have never seen so many civilizations on one world, it seems  civilizations were founded but none of them ever withered, they all also seem to span back to the dawn of time, and have large populations

True, a couple of days ago somebody was amazed that worldgen continued up to 1050. And normally, 40d should also gen up to 1050.

it was a small world but mega beasts still live in the year 600.
other than that the civs failed to have any good wars.

i try it once more in a bigger world with more civs, vast empires of men, massive beasts roam the world, huge tribes of nomad elves travel lkie some type of Adventurer brison.

It's been so long since world gen went to 1050 that starting that late seems odd. I changed it to 600, just because it felt more right.

Made my first world as an island. Is it just me, or do the elves seem less... abundant? Most of my worlds in the old version were practically flooded with forest retreats, but this once seems to have only one surviving elf civ.

I'm not complaining, mind you.
