I can reliably cause a crash on the military schedule screen order list. Go to the military schedule screen (m), select schedule (s), then go to the order list (tab). If you then press either page secondary selector up or page secondary selector down (I've remapped them to [ and ]) the game will crash.

The only mod I'm using is a graphic set.

I can reproduce this as well.  I have not modded a thing, and I use one of the default tilesets.

I suspect that you may be dealing with salt water.
It took me a few embarks, but I finally got usable water, I suspect you were right.

Does a huge amount of sand on your map make the aboveground water salty?

No, but being near an ocean does.  You should receive a warning about salt water when you embark.

The attempt to create rock short swords results in wood short swords being produced. MY DWARVES ARE NO GODDAMN ELVES GODDAMN :D

Might be related to the same thing happening for me when I hibernate (Vista).

I don't have much to contribute that hasn't already been. My leader/bookkeeper updates records with a barrel of wine, and it took me forever to find the Wood Burning labor because it was in Farming/related for some reason. Otherwise, it's all the same.

Hi!

I was wondering if anyone knew why butchering does not work for wild animals correctly. I have verified that they do not claim any coffins, so it is not friendly dead protection that keeps them unused.

The following are no bugs but clarifications!

RIVER CROSSING: Neither dwarves nor caravans will voluntarily cross a river that is not bridged. They will cross brooks, which have a pseudo-surface (unless that has changed) to allow them to cross the open space. Murky pools are the same kind of obstacle.
That is NOT a bug, but a normal feature since 3D.

SHELLS: Shells are generated when the turtle etc. is prepared in the fishery, not upon eating. Thus, your already prepared import lobster will not yield any shell, I suppose. That is not really a bug either (although it reduces the practical value of imported turtles and lobsters significantly).

Im not sure if it is the exact problem, but constructed ramps seem to be severely bugged in regard to pathfinding. My miners refuse to use them to access upper level and spam me with constant "cancels drink: item unreachable".

Are you sure you're using them properly? They don't work like stairs.

I don't think this has been reported:

- In the uniform screen, "metal armor" is missing from the list of available armor selection. Accidentally deleted it and can no longer add it back. I can select "leather armor", or "breastplates" and make them metal, but I think that's different from the default "metal armor".

- Seasonal autosaves with backup seems to mess up the save game list. I'm now using "region1-spr-1051-aut-spr-1052" as my latest save game.

copying and pasting 'no selected order' on the military squad schedule screen crashes the game. (on the pasting.)

I've experienced the same thing when building them correctly.  Map connectivity isn't being updated properly, but I haven't been able to get anything to consistently reproduce yet.
