-Quartzite (at least -- may be others) does not appear to be reading from inorganic_stone_layer.txt.  I am using Spreggo's Autonomous_Font tileset, and have edited inorganic_stone_layer.txt to make quartzite use [TILE:134] instead of [TILE:'-'].  I have a quartzite wall visible in my embark area.  It is respresented by a '-' instead of tile 134 of Spreggo's set.

Other stone and rocks appear to be working fine.

Did you edit the generic raws, or the raws associated with the world you generated?

It's amazing how dwarves can make a stack of bones completely waterproof and magmaproof.
It's amazing how they can make an entire floodgate out of the bones of 2 cats.

the ESC key does not work in the embark screen

Oh yes, while I'm reading this thread...

This isn't exactly a bug, more of a niggle. I find ESC way more awkward than Space to leave screens. So, no big thing, I rebound the leave screen key back to Space. Unfortunatly, that means in any screen where I might need to type a space, such as the job manager, I can't since it just leaves the screen.

EDIT: Also, I don't think the game is save my keybindings on exit.

It seems that chanelling, 'd'-'h', creates ramps instead of empty tile.

I'm having my dwarves that are constantly busy (woodcutters in a large area, miners with a large designation) be too dedicated to the job, I.E. they are starvng themselves in order to keep working.

Butchery:

Organs and whatnot don't show up in the (z) menu, under the Food tab. They also cannot be used as ingredients for cooking, which seems odd.

Not really a bug... but an observation. Butchering a few animals now results in dozens of units of "edibles" of one sort or another. It's now much more efficient to use animals for food, and farming and fishing are laughable in comparison.

The generic raws.  Wasn't aware there were other raws to edit.  I'll take a look.

One of the changes in this version is that it saves a copy of the raws in each generated world so that you can handle multiple mods with a single installation.

Channeling actually creates ramps.
Edit: The miners then go to the bottom of these ramps. This resulted in two miners being encased in ice when I tried to get past an aquifer.

If you set up a stone stockpile, and set it to be only for ore, the dwarves will fill it with generic stone. Even if that stone was set to be dumped.

Dunno if this is normal.

This happened to me too, except my miner ended up inside a tunnel that was rapidly filling with water after he "safely" channeled the last piece of stone blocking the water from my plumbing system.
