This was the first thing I tried when I downloaded DF 2010. I'm using Mayday's tileset, and this is what I did:

 1) Download http://mayday.w.staszic.waw.pl/~mayday/upload/DFG16.zip
 2) Extract, enter, copy the mayday graphics over (DFG16 has BMP graphics)
 3) Change inits.

When the merge happens (hopefully before the end of the month) PNG formats will work.

Beware! With Mayday's tileset at least (don't forget to copy over both the mayday.bmp within /data/art but also the graphics_mayday txt file and folder at /raw/graphics) you might encounter random occurences of missing letters. Seems to not be very common though.

How do I get the solid color background instead of the black ones?

The mayday set has been listed on the wiki since this went up today, prepackaged and ready to go!

I updated my tileset into BMP format so you can use it with the Mayday set.  Not quite as nice as the PNG version but it still gets the job done.  http://www.mediafire.com/?hozlhljmzjm

Here's a direct link to the Mayday set if you're having trouble getting it.  http://www.mediafire.com/?dyotg3rzgzr

.png tilesets give you a blank screen. Convert them to .bmp and it loads just fine.
Thanks, this works perfectly.

Hi everybody,
This new version is ..well astounding! And as anyone, i was very impatient to try it with my prefered tileset (mayday).

I got lucky: everything works fine on the first launch..except a little but disturbing point: the colors of the tileset are weirdely displayed.

I mean: all that should be brown is of a strange yellow, sig!

Anyone having the same problem or an idea on how to resolve it? (i know, i should just wait for a proper mayday update :-))^^

Thanks. And enjoy three days of pure fun^^.
