with wine it craches during world generation ;_(


p.s. seems like it crashes only in graphics mode. hmm.

Having a *very* hard time working the military screen. I'm not saying it's bad, because it took me a week to figure out various parts of the DF interface when I first started playing, and now it seems incredibly natural...just that this should be the *first* part of the wiki explanation, since there's so MUCH there now.

Before checking the dev log:
"Toady better not pull an April fools joke about the new version."

After checking the dev log:
"OH MY GOD! Toady I will seriously kill you if this is an April fools joke..."

After downloading:
"HOLY SHIT! HOLY SHIT! HOLY SHIT! HOLY SHIT!"

That was pretty much it. Toady I love you.

I really really hope bugfixes and merging helps the FPS 'cause playing in a new site is going as fast as a 100 z-level fort with 100+ dwarves in 40d :(

Ummmmm.....I have 150 layers down from embark to the "bottom"...I wonder what's down there????  I have to use the hotkeys just to avoid scrolling for five minutes...

Shame I won't be able to give it the time it deserves until Saturday. Maybe by then I'll have figured out how to quit the game from the embark screen without force-crashing it...

I am trying to make chickens lay bees as eggs. So far it only produces a single "Tame Small Creature" when a hen lays bees.
Honestly at the time, I didn't see what could go wrong with crowding 80 military Dwarves into a small room with a necromancer for the purpose of making bacon.

Dwarven statistics: When something is considered unlikely, the presence of dwarves increases the likelyhood of the unusual event occuring.

GENERATION 29:
The first time you see this, copy it into your signature on any forum and add 1 to the generation. Social experiment.

Besides, it's somehow enjoyable to think of groundhogs stacked to the very top of a cage and flooding out to kill.

TOADY I HAD A BAD DAY AT WORK AND WAS LIKE "OH GOD WHAT ELSE CAN GO WRONG" AND NOW WITH THE RELEASE OF THIS I AM CALLING IN SICK FOR THE REST OF THE WEEK

I only took a few minutes to look at this but I think its safe to say that this game just got a whole lot more FUN.

I can verify this. Does not crash under wine in standard mode. Crashes at world gen otherwise.

Let me know if you need any system information.

I think I've figured out the military screen but my dwarves won't train. They just stand in the barracks for ever eiter "Waiting for ____ demonstration" or "Organizing ____ demonstration". Nothing happens, they just get hungry and thirsty and eventually walk off to eat and drink..
