Oh that is so much better. Faster loading times and everything. Thanks!

The moment the lever was pulled, somebody's pet kitten stepped onto the bridge. I read somewhere that if a cat falls more than 11 stories, it instinctively flares its legs out to increase air resistance. This slows it down enough to stick the landing with relatively minor injuries. In Dwarf Fortress, apparently, cats don't do that.

Not played this in a while. Guessing my guild has thrown me out. Even if not I'm happy to play with you guys or join on an alt.

I have a level 20 Dwarven Barbarian called Kosoth on Sarlonia LFG. I'm also happy to craft for anyone who will throw me some ingredients. I have 62/73/53 crafting.

For the new players, a lot of the forums are really useful. This list of posts should be handy.

Still patching so guess it's time to read the wiki and see what's changed since... DRUIDS!

EDIT: Looks like I'm still in my old guild and will be sticking there with Kosoth, seeing as my favourite toy has a minimum guild level of 45 and this one is hovering around 59. Feel free to friend me for random access to their ship or my crafting though. If anyone's interested in doing some low level runs I'd be happy to throw together an alt and run with you.

It's known as the Oppai-Kaiju effect. The islands of Japan generate a sort anti-gravity field, which allows breasts to behave as if in microgravity. It's also what allows Godzilla and friends to become 50 stories tall, and lets ninjas run up the side of a skyscraper.

Do characters get deleted after certain period of inactivity?

I have finished redownloading mine but won't be able to play til Friday night.

No, characters never get deleted for inactivity.

Lot of changes since I was last on, along with the new expansion stuff, there has been another new class the artificer and house cannith opening up. Which caused me to get lost in the marketplace as I was looking for the catacombs, but that area has been rebuilt.

I'd like to join, have a few low level characters on different servers, just started on that server as Adwinek Nova the Dwarven Paladin (All of my characters are paladins, love the class.)

What path for paladin? Mines Flame of Justice, prefer to kill whatever I'm fighting as fast as possible, or at the least take chunks of its health with each hit.

On another note anyone at Korthos Village (if there are any) want to team up and run through some of the dungeons?

Just as a warning, the pre-made paths tend to be a lot weaker than a customised build. The only one that's not overly weakened is my TWF barb, and that's still far from optimised. There are some basic builds here that work great in the place of the paths.

That build in particular dumps constitution. NEVER DUMP CON IN DDO. That is rule one. HP vanish fast in this game.

For a dwarf using that concept, I'd dump some wisdom and dex and go 16 con. Throw on a toughness feat with enhancements and enjoy the acres of HP.

You can, of course, play pretty much any build you can imagine. The problem is hitting a wall at some point. A lot of weaker builds will run into problems getting into higher level content. Both in the sense of dying too easily or not hitting hard enough, and in the sense of people not letting them into groups for having too low HP. If you have <400 HP as a frontline fighter you aren't going to be that useful against enemies that do 450 burst damage.

Not just DDO, Dumping your HP-boosting stat for something else, in the high majority of cases, is a really damn stupid idea.

Get to near level 4 (or 3), and I'd be perfectly fine with helping you with Harbor stuff (in particular the Waterworks, I really want a new rune arm for my artificer and the wiki says theres one there)
