JUST finished downloading. Getting started up now.

Edit: Started Zyllus McDwarf, a Dwarf Wizard.

Edit2: aaand now I have to go to work. Anyone else have problems with the game going to windowed mode when you alt-tab and then not being able to click on anything? I had to force-close it when after I got an IM... didn't even get to start playing.

The moment the lever was pulled, somebody's pet kitten stepped onto the bridge. I read somewhere that if a cat falls more than 11 stories, it instinctively flares its legs out to increase air resistance. This slows it down enough to stick the landing with relatively minor injuries. In Dwarf Fortress, apparently, cats don't do that.

I had a few similar problems when I started. I now run it in windowed mode, which also allows me to quickly jump back to firefox when I need to run a search for something.

Sorry to see you go. Any chance you would be able to transfer guild leadership over to one of the active players?

There I named You as successor though I dunno if it actually made you leader...

Thanks, though I wasn't necessarily looking to be leader myself. Just checked the info on how guilds work, you need to type '/guild resign' into the chatbox to resign as leader to finish the process.
