I think it should be up to the people who play to decide. As for my actual opinion I have no complaint about the current leader but Metalax does seem to be on a bit so if we just want someone to be signing people up as they appear he would work out just fine.

Edit: Also I would NOT be a good option for leader because while I do seem to be into the game. I can not be sure of my continued obsessive playing of it as I tend to do stuff in cycles

So it seems I accidentally put my canteen in my wheelbarrow and didn't notice... and then I got really thirsty... so right before going to sleep I go to take a swig from my canteen and... end up snorting a line of low-grade meth.

There you go! I vote Metalax to an officer position post haste and that should take care of some of the (non-existent)complaints about your leadership.

Is the McDwarf rule still in place?  if so I'm
Melsum McDwarf ... Master Mechanic...

Yes I know lots of rogues but frankly the rogue sounded like fun at the moment

welcome aboard.we don't have too many rogues, and another is always welcome.name your last name whatever you wish, the mcdwarf was completely optional, most just elected to use it.

I only see one on the list, and we have run into difficulties for lack of rogues before. *cough* *blender cave* *cough*

Plus...honestly, even if half the guild were rogues, I don't think that would really be a problem. As long as you're not doing quests above your level, even healers are pretty much optional a lot of the time.

It really is much cooler with all of us with the same surname.

And so far, I don't think I've seen anyone in guild without it.

Plus...I did it, so everyone else should have to. :P

It does make it rather easier to recognize another Dorf.

Or at least for your main dwarf character. Alts then may not necessarily need it.

It should be something you put on your main dwarf, but no need to make a human alt with mcdwarf as as a last name :P

Last night I realized our dream of a 7 dwarf team has been crushed by the limits put upon us! Only six people can be on any one team so I say if anyone asks there was a 7th member but he died and really who needs another soapmaker?

Don't let your dream be crushed yet, around level 12 or so you got raids that allow 12 people in.no reason we can't just walk in with 7 and crush the place.on casual

Oh cool. I was just thinking I wanted to give DDO another try. Quick thought though: could you edit the first post so it doesn't say "We don't have a guild" (when we totally do)? I'll post when I've got the game downloaded and a character rolled.

Edit: So... I kind of want to multiclass, but I can't find anythi- waitasec. Decided to just search the forums and found this:
http://www.rjcyberware.com/DDO/
It's a character planner for those that need to be like me and plan things out way too far in advance!

Edit2: ooh, also, this thread's neat for character ideas.

Edit3: And after reading entirely too much I think I just have to make a character and royally screw him up before I understand what the heck's going on. More fun that way anyway.

The moment the lever was pulled, somebody's pet kitten stepped onto the bridge. I read somewhere that if a cat falls more than 11 stories, it instinctively flares its legs out to increase air resistance. This slows it down enough to stick the landing with relatively minor injuries. In Dwarf Fortress, apparently, cats don't do that.
