It might be a bit hard to add a sump to a slow moving suspended tram...

I'll bring it up with the development department.


For now, crossing tracks can be accomplished with Z-level changes, although you won't need any yet.

The black space is underground.

The impression I am hoping to achieve is that the entire place is new, so your construction choices *will* in fact, change the rest of the design.

Oh. Then perhaps we should dig exploratory tunnels.

There should be a tram tunnel going into a main foyer. You have to walk on foot across the foyer, passing a guard station. And then pick up a new, separate tram to take you farther into the complex.

This way we can keep people from escaping modifying casualty outcomes!

May I suggest you make an ASCII tileset for these purposes? Then we can do it all convenient-like in ASCIIDRAW.

I think forums are a little unwieldy for this kind of game - it would be better as a tabletop game. You should arrange sessions for discussion or whatnot, otherwise turns will take aeons to finish.

I think you might be going about this in a somewhat limited fashion when it comes to raw gameplay. I could think of some ways to remedy this, but they either rip off other games(none here at the Bay), or they might be a bit unfaithful to your original concept.

It would be best played as a PC game, but to do that would require making it first, and the multiplayer aspects or the AI to replace them if it were singleplayer, would require years to perfect.

Think of this then, as a prototype of the more fun ideas and a place to further develop them, for a computer game that would never exist.

Gametable has a nice grid system, as well as a 'pog' system to make track parts with.

You don't need a stand-alone game.
