well now we have some more information :D
should we hang about a few turns and attempt to power up or should we start searching for the corruption now?

also:
is unsummoning a free action?
is there a time limit?
is there a number of concurrent summons limit?
i wouldn't be surprised if the last 2 i have to find out by trying it.

channel power into the SDW and fire at a cloud, any flying birds in the area or just the sky in general.

i want to see what sort of power it has without friendly fire

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

Tehstefan: 4

Tehstefan: "What is known about dealing with these corrupted entities?"
Command: "Apologies Captain, inf-"
NUKM: "OVERRIDE!"
Command: "Corrupted entities are highly resistant to data attacks. TOAST Millitary has had success bringing smaller entities (>50 meters tall) down with EAGLE squads (There are very few things can not be killed by sustained fire from an EAGLE). Generally, it is advised to hit the beasts with the biggest guns you have as soon as you can. As far as we've seen, they're no different from any other organic beings."
NUKM: "Speaking of big guns, general advice on the proper application of the NUKM drone."
Command: "The NUKM drone is a fully autonomous bipedal robotic weapons platform. The NUKM drone is heavily armed and armored, but slow. It is suggested that, when there are multiple targets, the NUKM drone should concentrate on the toughest entity present. The NUKM drone is not effective at targeting multiple targets, and the NUKM's one-degree-of-freedom arms are much more effective at firing in one direction."
Command: "Resuming previous train of thought."
Command: "High energy weapons are much more effective against the known corrupted entities than projectile weapons. Low-power energy weapons are nearly useless, however. One should unload any high-power plasma weapons, then laser weapons, then missile weapons, and finally projectile weapons."
Command: "Explosive weapons with such an option should be set to penetrate the surface of the entity before detonating."

Inteuniso: 4

You start fooling about with the engineering computer and manage to get into Slick's RAM remotely. Sweet.
You are more skilled with your engineering computer (+1 to using it).

Frelock: 1

You totally fail to find any connection between the corrupted entities.

Typoman: 5

Well, it certianly screws up birds. Everything that is caught in the beam is immediately vaporised.

Qwertyuiopas: 4-1=3

You hook the monitor up to a graph and let it run in the background.

Dragnar: 3

The TOAST command unit dosn't know anything about that.

ExKirby: 1

You go up to a wall and shoot it. You get blown across the complex. Roll to damage: 1-3=0. It appears to be an effective method of locomotion.

Sensei: 3

The TOAST scientists welcome any sort of help you can give. You get a glimpse of the TOAST N.D.Y machine. They won't tell you what it does, but whatever it is it's pretty damn cool.

So if the storage is offline... and there isn't anyone living on earth anymore... how can it possibly be brought back online?

I look for an Awesome Portal and use it to summon a few protoss fighters.(small ships carrying several laser guns. weak alone, but used in swarms to kill... anything in the game really.)

well squirtle is still about, but i dunno what to do...
i have no idea what the N.D.Y. machine does
i practice summoning by summoning several things at once
i'm trying to level up the skill here :)
though if that requires a new power source i'm stumped, maybe command could tell me something?

Maintenance robots. Adalf himself, preferably.

Awesome Portal requires a sending and receiving end.

Would it be compatible with a different form of portal tech? Protoss teleport EVERYTHING onto the battlefield. Their buildings just create the portal.

I don't think so. You know, the more NPCs you have, the more work I have to do. Anyway, you don't need all these Protoss contrivances, you have ExKirby!

They're not really NPCs, just mindless drones... like my character!

Anyway, I instead build several small flying camera-bots.

In any case, Considering that I know high energy weapons are effective, but low energy weapons are not, I go with the NUKM drone to look for some High Energy weapons I can use.

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

Qwertyuiopas: 6

You stroll in to the TOAST research facility with Sensei in tow. Everyone gets the hell out of your way; they recognize SCIENCE in the making from miles away.

Dragnar: 1

You grab a soldering iron and start trying to wire drones together. You don't get much done, and manage to solder your fingers together.

Typoman: 2

You pull more power from the energy streams, but you are quickly overcome. You'll need to toughen yourself a lot more before you can draw that much power...

Inteuniso: 6

You rather rudely begin sticking your nose into Slick's brain, ignoring his polite requests to stop.
You flip some bits around, unblocking some dormant code...

"Hey, what are you doingtrx5reload WARNING: DUALITY STABILIZATION FAILURE. PBD FAILURE POSSIBILITY. EMERGENCY SHUTDOWN."

The screens fill up with strange looking symbols.
"lowlevel translate complete."
"dualitycore:property %censor%gvmt. failure localized. attempting rewrite. dont cut power system. contact local. local referred TOAST Industries corporation. please contact for service rewrite confirm. personality backup making."

Frelock: 5

There is a jam in place for your remote viewing implant, however, the jammer is implemented totally in the implant's firmware and you simply remove the responsible code.
They appear to be working on a tall, rectangular device with a square base and a triangular cap on top. Unfortunately, your remote viewing implant does not offer a very clear view.

Tehstefan: 2

Despite NUKM's assistance (he's a bit steamed from the conversation with the command computer and is in no mood to conform to protocol) you fail to find any better weapons than the ones currently installed on the Jefferson.

ExKirby: 6

You find a bar and start a fight. Roll to attack: 2! Roll to dodge: 6-3. Despite your incredibly hardened skin and bones, you suffer some minor injuries from being beaten up.

Sensei: 5

You follow the chief SCIENCE officer into the labs, and get all Doctor Insano on some technology.

Text:

Qwertyuiopas and Sensei storm in. The scientists stand far back and watch.

Qwertyuiopas: "So this bit is like the things that make the healing booths work... and this is a light..."
Sensei: "And this part makes balloons."
Qwertyuiopas: "It needs more rockets."
Sensei: "And more voltage to the balloon inflator."
Qwertyuiopas: "Make it precision controlled, linked to a mass sensor."
Sensei: "This dosn't belong on the back, there needs to be a tri-lobal design."
Qwertyuiopas: "Use a divisor on it."
Sensei: "I think that will work. Should be able to ascend and descend... pitch and yaw..."
Qwertyuiopas: "This needs to be calibrated with a ranger."
Sensei: "No, entity gates."
Qwertyuiopas: "Hook it through a sine gate and a multiplier..."
Sensei: "Hmm... that should make it a lot more effective..."
Qwertyuiopas: "And increase the wattage to the light."
Sensei: "More lights. Make them pivot too."
Qwertyuiopas: "Individually."
Sensei: "What the hell is this thing?"
Qwertyuiopas: "I dunno, hook up more power."
Sensei: "Put in three of them."
Qwertyuiopas: "Ten of them."
Sensei: "Nine."
Qwertyuiopas: "Hook up energy turrets."
Sensei: "Hook them up through standard controllers..."
Qwertyuiopas: "Standard controllers on a vector selection gate, hook it up manually but independently as well as constrained to the lights."
Sensei: "And also give alphastrike capability for the controllers."
Qwertyuiopas: "This ageis needs to have more plasma turrets."
Sensei: "45 of them."
Qwertyuiopas: "With alphastrike capability."
Sensei: "Add more rockets."
Qwertyuiopas: "And a turbine."
Sensei: "And whatever the hell this is."
Qwertyuiopas: "I think that's an enviromental sensor."
Sensei: "Hook it up to an air filtrator."
Qwertyuiopas: "Full life support."

This goes on for some time. The TOAST scientists run the machine through a scanner and let you have it. "We don't want that damn thing exploding here. I mean, 45 turrets on an Ageis? Keep the damn thing."
