Stuck dwarf
« on: March 27, 2010, 07:16:20 am »

Hi,
my dwarf seems stuck in bedroom.
He sleeps all the season. There is a bucket in doors. Doors are open

How to solve this?

Look at his wounds.  Is he injured?  If so, you need to wait for his injuries to heal, which might be never if he's missing an arm or something.

And if the wounds are red (mangled), a dwarf can take years to recuperate.

Toughness may or may not play a role in this. The general consensus seems to be that it does play a role, but I'm not convinced. A couple of months ago I had a champion with stats off the charts who spent around a year in bed, before I gave up on that fortress.

you are right! neck+upper spine moderately wounded
plus, he is unconscious, thirsty and hungry

now I understand that empty bucket.

i will wait, now i am wonder if some other dwarf won't let him die of hunger and thirst

That depends on their other jobs. Health care has a low priority, so it might be advisable to employ one dwarf as a "nurse" and disable all of their other jobs.

He has a nervous injury, he may never heal but if he does he won't be fit for close combat, so exclude him from the army.

I have no military and no war dogs. Now I watch my berserk chasing all dwarfs all the great hall and slowly letting them die
