A heads-up about what you hope to find so I can tell you if it is or isn't there is advised.

Wiring, circuitry and other doo dads are good.

Thin sheet metal and mechanical components that look to be in functionable condition.

More circuitry, and some sheet metal. Let's also see if we can get some battery acid, and any other chemicals that may prove useful. Any and all medicine bottles that we find that have meds in them shall be obtained. Well, except for some things like cough syrup, we don't exactly need that. Let's see if we can find a good source of magnesium too. We shall require some for thermite fun. Rust is extremely easy to find anyway.

-This is completely unrelated to the junkyard-
Later on, let's find a way to create a way to create a throwable thermite. The idea is that we have some thermite combined with some kind of way to set it off on contact, but with some sort of safety of course. We wouldn't want to bump the thermite in our pocket. That would be extremely unpleasant. Think of a grenade, except it doesn't explode. Even better if we can get it to stick to people. Not a pleasant way to die at all, and extremely noticable, but it shouldn't leave any evidence right? So long as nobody sees us do it. But that's what we have robots for. We'll need a catapult robot or something to use that later on.

It seems like most of the things you're looking for would be better found in the main area....

I hope we get some good chemicals. We must grab any very strong acid/bases we see, as long as we can get them SAFELY and without harming ourselves. Acids and bases are always good fun.

The only thing I can think of with acids or bases is a car battery, I doubt there will be much more chemicals on a scrapyard.

We can at least hope that somebody threw out some lye or something.

What he said.

Also, everyone remembers thermite isn't explosive, right?  It just burns really hot.

You notice a great many cars in another area are devoid of tires and their insides have been devoured - those goods should be in the warehouse

A reminder of what you're going to find in there. This is a scrapyard, not a city dump.

Well inside we would find radios, cassette decks, CD players, in-car DVD players, and automotive computers.  I assume when you say ,"their insides have been devoured," you mean the interior.  That means that the engines and starter motors are still outside right?  See if we can get the screens, any CD players, and the radios form the warehouse.  And don't get caught.

The interior and the contents of the hood.

And the wheels, if you want to make large wheeled Killbots for cheap.

The hoods and panels would make decent metal plates for larger bot casings.
