A little info tidbit for you all while you wait for the update:
Your PRIDE is not a stat as much as a nebulous concept. It is DAMAGED by anything you perceive as an insult to you - being forced to beg, doing tasks you find demeaning, selling off your inventions as mere novelties. This affects your Megalomania stat.
The Megalomania stat is measured on a green-yellow-orange-red scale for each of the levels of nonexistent, negligible, mild, moderate, seething, severe, outrageous, and omnicidal. It is increased by DAMAGED PRIDE and is decreased by recognition of your GENIUS in the fields of SCIENCE!
Once you hit the red state, your next perceived insult will drive you over the edge to the next level of megalomania. Once you reach a new level, you can never go back to a lower level by natural means. The lowest Megalomania that recognition of your GENIUS in the fields of SCIENCE! can get you from that point on is green of the level you're currently at. Higher levels of recognition and pride also increase the number of things you find DAMAGING to your PRIDE.
How much recognition you need to win this game, and on what scale you need this recognition to be, is affected by your Megalomania level (though not the color of it). For instance, at Mild Megalomania (your current level) you could do with become rich/powerful/etc. by means such as mass-production of your goods in the U.S. alone, but at Moderate Megalomania you would require, say, a Nobel Prize, and at Outrageous you'll settle for nothing less than world domination.
Omnicidal changes the win condition in exactly the way its name implies, but it would probably take conscious effort to reach that point.
