That is awesome. I love it when these things inject a little structure into the game.

So I suppose a mid-to-long term goal is to ensure our Megalomania rises a few levels, so that we can be a proper mad scientist. Shouldn't be able to win without at least having our own sovereign state, and being content with lesser objectives is unacceptable.

I agree. But before we do anything, WE NEED A STEADY SUPPLY OF GOODS/MATERIALS. That's what I say.

If I'm able to keep up with this game and all my other obligations, I'll probably start a second run of it after, possibly with some start perks added on.

There's nothing wrong with a lower-megalomania ending. D:

Whaaat? What kind of self-respecting mad scientist ever goes for anything less than world domination?

The kind that actually has some self-respect?

I'll... repost the list. :P

We need an alarm system to tell us when someone opens an entrance to our lab. At first, this should be a Vibration Sensor (1 Copper Wire) attached to a Basic Control Unit plugged into a wall outlet. The control unit detects when the wire jiggles and automatically sends a ping to a linked Basic Control Unit we carry at all times.

Requires: Invent "Vibration Sensor", Program "Alarm Pager".

We need to make a heater for SCIENCE! and also for making coffee. It needs a casing, a heating element, an insulated wire leading to the wall, and a switch to turn it on and off.

    Requires: Invent "Flat Coil Heater"

Use that as cover to find information about a potential lackey to steal from the university and prove to them our superiority. We're not DOING that yet, just making initial contact and finding out more info.

Go to LIBRARY. Acquire LIBRARY CARD. Check out a couple good SCIENCE! books.

Use one of their computers to go on the Internet. Create a couple Hotmail accounts. Look on Craigslist for people giving away free stuff. Search for remote-controlled toy gatherings coming up in the area so we can harvest more parts.

I like this course of action the most. Do you? <_<

I'd settle for a fortune in resources and a cohort of minions to further our research. I'm not fussed if the world is at our feet as long as it doesn't interfere with our more important work.

Of course if they start getting nosy about our work or bothersome, or don't show us the respect we should expect I might change my mind :)

Now, DO EET.

Agreed :)

One Noble Prize is not enough. We must reanimate the hateful corpse of Alfred Nobel and wring from him the explosive secrets that his mortal frame could not bear to unleash upon the world!

Suggestion: Wining the game starts the next one a decade later, and adds 2 megalomania levels.

We need to go for self-aware grey goo or the Flood from the Halo series.

I have a better yet suggestion. Why not we in a true mad scientist fashion try and wire pandarsenic to his computer via mind probes and a radio transmitter, this way he can easily go around his daily toils and still entertain our most wretched desires of science without any problem, plus the processing power he would most likely get can't possibly of any harm.

Meh, I can't be bothered to affix a self-destruct device to Pandarsenic right now, maybe later...

P.S.
All creations need self-destructs, otherwise you won't have a plan B...

Plan A is force it to do what you want without killing it
Plan B is kill it
Plan C is kill it with something else
Plan D is run away and kill it later
Plan E is orbital bombardment and exitinguishing their sun.

You always alert them to Plan E when you begin negotiations using Plan A.
