Yes, you need to be able to run tests. However, when you gain a level you CAN bring robots up to date with your new skill. Having a laptop with you will allow you to do this wherever you need to.

You can dismantle it, but if you make it again you'll just put the same code on it (unless you leveled up)

I am thinking we should make and code a bot first than go.
This. Besides, even if it isn't very useful we could probably trade the anklebiter for free reign of the junkyard. (hey, if I worked in a junkyard I would be more than happy to accept a fun little robot for payment.)

This.

The goal was to dismantle it for when we make a better robot that isn't so weak.
Anyway, which of the two options I said do you guys like, or do you have any other ideas?

We have enough supplies to build two robots. So we'll work first.

Build two robots - an ankle biter second, and a rolly wheely spy bot first.
Program as much as can programmed on both.

We can get to level 2 or more that way.
Program AB: Level to level 1
Program RWS: Level to level 2
Program both: Level to level 3? Get tons of experience and some smart bots, anyway.

Then we sell them?

Sell the spybot. It's not as useful. But then, we might garner unwanted attention from THE MAN.

Yes we need to work... and there is no point is dismantlement until we can do something with the parts, we never know when a bot will come in handy.

I think the spybot is far more useful than the ankle-biter. The anklebiter is basically worthless, any fool can avoid it, or even just grab it and turn it upside down, rendering it totally helpless. But the spy-bot can be quiet and sneaky and do its job.

You'll need to assemble a second control unit and find a second propeller or find a smaller chassis for a one-propeller spybot (and still assemble a second control unit), or devise a ground spybot.

In accordance with those plans, you remember how you made the first Control Unit:

Control Unit:
2 Basic Circuitry, 1 Copper Wire, 1 Solder

Noticing you lack a second Basic Circuitry unit, you devise a substitute...

Rudimentary Control Unit: Simple Circuitry, 1 Basic Circuitry, 1 Copper Wire, 1 Solder

Also, the me-provided Leaps of Intuition won't appear very often. Generally, you can put forth an idea, I'll tweak it if necessary or I'll accept/deny it, and it'll be added to your Inventions list.

One more thing. Feel free to, ah, UPGRADE your designs as you go. It'd be easy to cover the weaknesses Cheddarius has observed in the Anklebiter with the materials you have on hand.

Say what? The INVENTIONS list says the aerial spybot only requires one control unit.

Whatever. I say assemble a rudimentary control unit, use it to make an anklebiter, and then head off to the junkyard. Because the anklebiter isn't that useful, and if it's lost or destroyed we won't have lost as much. Also it's good practice in improvisation.

Two bots takes two control units.

Are you guys making one or two? ._.

Only 1, we need more parts.

Make a control unit
Make an Anklebiter
Program Anklebiter with laptop
Program Anklebiter again, but better
Bring Anklebiter, laptop, and parts to junkyard
Consider Small Electric Motor plans: 1 Simple Circuitry, 2 Copper Wire, 1 Solder
Consider Digital Camera plans: 1 Circuitry (Advanced Circuitry?), 2 Copper Wire, 1 Solder, 1 Basic Lens

Do what Cheddarius said.
Can we upgrade our killbot to stab with our shiny switchblade?
If so, do it.

Long term, Spybot = industrial espionage = money = good. So I would prioritize that next.

Agreed. As for the ground spybot, there is no real reason to build one as a separate design. The anklebiter is already a little bot with a camera, the only difference is it can also defend itself... sorta.

Since the anklebiter design calls for any stabbing tool, I suggest the switchblade(instead of the fork it was designed with)
