In the middle of the research of the astral magic, Skik unexpectedly states that it is important that the Haskanara find red pearls. While they would prefer understanding now, Skik's intuition has rarely been wrong, and so some Haskanara search the seas for these pearls, and soon are successful.
The First Legion marches out west, making good progress, but Skik can't shake the feeling that the terrain looks slightly different, and not in a way that animals would have accomplished. Maybe the Lactosians have travelled through here recently? As the Legion continues, Skiin thinks that he sees a creature in the forest to the north that observes them, but it vanishes without a trace.
The Third Legion pokes through the forests, but finds nothing specific.
