"I am old, but this world is young, cast from the heavens i was, but i lacked form, this form will do, it will, but your forms are good too, all forms are good, there are pros and cons, yes there are, some forms are fast, some are slow, i see yours are ephermal, strong, yes strong and fast, good for hunting i see, bound to magic and nature, yes bound. But i ramble, my mind is strange, strange, yes, strange, it is not used to this world, this form, but it will adjust, minds adjust, did you know that? A mind can adjust to almost anything, yes it can, most fascinating."
"My lord Abraxas, your wisdom is great indeed, but perhaps if you could focus upon the task at hand? We have found that we can transmute base materials such as woods and stones into shining crystal which forms a most remarkable building substance, but we lack architects, we lack engineers. We do not know how to properly design and build structures, please."
"Hmm? Oh, yes yes of course, i apologise, my mind wanders, it finds itself in such a strange place, such a strange form, it wanders it does, yes it does, see? Look! It does it again, off it goes, wandering around, it is a most perculiar thing a mind, yes, a mind is strange, very strange, it wanders, did i tell you that it wanders? Oh yes i did didn't i, just up there, how silly of me, i should really read what i have said before i say so again, shouldn't i? That would be smart wouldn't it? Oh yes, that is an excellent idea, i am glad i thought of it."
Begonis put down her pencil in exasperation as she listened to Abraxas ramble on some more; the old tree was wise beyond all imagining, she had come to the conclusion that he must have served a God of Knowledge in the Old World, quite possibly even as a Right Hand, but he did tend to ramble. She had no idea what he was talking about any more, read what he had said? What nonsense! The young Seelie found Abraxas' frequent departures into such distractions both annoying and strangely compelling; there was a kind of mesmerising non-logic behind his babbling, even if it did make her head hurt.
"What bothers you little one? Oh, i was distracted again was i not? Yes i was, i see it now, very well then, i shall concentrate, shall i? Yes i shall, my mind can think by itself for a time, it will not suffer from the time alone, no it will not, i believe it may even enjoy it, perhaps, yes."
"Now; the principles of construction and engineering..."
The Green Knight smiled to himself as he stood outside the Seelie Court; summer was in full swing and so was The Crown of the Red Sky's emotions, the Seelie Queen was finding life in a mortal body with flesh and blood, even semi-divine flesh and blood that sometimes seemed as ephermal as mist, to be full of new experiences.
He laughed silently to himself as The Crown of the Red Sky broke another vase in a fit of pique; he had always lived in mortal form, but The Crown of the Red Sky was unfamiliar with such material things. Even The Gray Prince understood the concept of greed, but The Crown of the Red Sky was finding the whole ordeal most unsettling.
"She'll grow into it."
