Good thing you mention it, the stone disappeared when you all got teleported so he doesn't have it anymore.

Mood: ??? There's a pink elephant flying in through the air. It scares me.

Double-posting hurts my soul, but I'll do it anyway. FOR GREAT REFERENCES.

Turn 25

Start studying the plants in the area, to find out if they are useful at all.

(1) Still shivering with the thought of just having dived through water, you look around your new environment. Walking to the edge of the runed stone-circle, you notice the dense vegetation around you. Deciding that at least one of the fruits these trees carry has to be edible, you rip one off and focus on it. Making sure that it's not acid or something similar by squishing some of its liquid on the ground, you think that it'll probably be safe enough. Taking a bite out of it, you find that it tastes quite good if you may say so yourself. While still pacing around and keeping your eyes open for any other useful flora, you discover a pretty weird one. Hidden behind a tree, a long root extends from the ground and ends in a huge, dark bud that resembles the head of a rose. As you close in on it, you sense something weird from it. Almost as if it were alive. Well, more alive than usual. Cautiously closing in, you try to touch it when suddenly the bud opens into four parts, each lined with hundreds of razor-sharp teeth. Before you can get out of the way, the "flower" grabs a hold of one of your legs, sinking its deadly fangs into your flesh. It hurts quite a bit, but at least it doesn't seem to be poisonous. But even as you hit it in (probably) the face, it won't release it's grip on you.

Study the runes, see if I can learn anything.

(3) Finally having something to do, you look at the blue runes that are practically omni-present in this place. Kneeling next to one of them, you extend your arm and put your hand on it. A weird energy is emitted from these ancient relics and you can feel a celestial power flowing around them. The symbols themselves seem to represent nothing in particular, just being randomly over the floor and walls, but you can see a pattern emerging around the stone-circle that you were brought to. Still, as you try to find more out about what these runes mean exactly you can feel some kind of divine shield blocking your spiritual communication attempts. You wonder how any being would be powerful enough to stop your identifying attempts even after they have left, but your questions go unanswered for now as you see Acanthus storming towards you at an unnatural speed.

STUDY RUNES FOR GREAT JUSTICE!

(5) "How are you gentle-stone? All your runes are belong to us. You are on your way to translation. Make your time. Ha ha ha ha." After running next to Opal, you started shouting out random things that might very well come from a game with horrible translators. While you were laughing manically, Opal seems to have distanced herself a little from you while staring at you, probably thinking if there's a mental asylum anywhere close-by where she could drop you off. Still, you think you have impressed her with your manliness, so now you just have to make clear that you're not completely insane (all the time). Kneeling next to the same rune that Opal was looking at, you put your hand on it and try to communicate with it. While you focus on deciphering the holy symbol, she starts talking. "That won't work, I already tried that. There's some kind of shield protecting it, there's no way to ... And exactly at that moment, your mind overcomes the barrier and breaks it, making way for you to connect to the rune's power. You grin and look over to Opal who's sitting there with her mouth open not believing in anything anymore. After finishing with your self-praising smile, you form a bond to the blue sign. A few seconds afterward, you start reciting the words imprinted in these texts. "The One is the only being to lead us. The One rules reality and anything beyond. We call to the powers of the One and plead him to give us the strength to sanctify this holy ground." Standing up, you look to the one in the middle of the room. Using your new knowledge you can easily read it as "SUMMON". It seems this some kind of gate to which you returned. The gray orb seems to have been the key and the socket was the keyhole to get to this place. With this experience, you feel like you're mental prowess has grown and you can now easily identify the runes in this place.

Study statues as I walk down the path... FOR GREAT JUSTICE!!! Also be careful not to bump into anyone...

(1) Yeah, maybe you shouldn't have said that last part. Never talk about something in a way that it could come back at you like a sharp-edged, metal boomerang cutting your head off. Something like that. Anyways, with your lightning-armor still activated, you try to go out of your own way to not touch anyone so they wouldn't be electrocuted straight to hell. Having for some reason been spawned in the middle of the group, you immediately back off from your parasite and Gray who were standing infront of you. As you walk backwards, you spin around right before you bump into McCoy, who has been standing there also. Repeating this a few times with the other members of the group, you finally think you've gotten out of everyone's way. Relieved you sigh, turn around and ... smash into Richard. (3) Luckily he's still wearing his scale armor that grounded most of the lightning that jumped on to him, but it also acted as a transporter that brought the electricity all over him. He can feel that he's been burned quite a bit underneath, but nothing too major. You quickly bow down, apologize and then back off before you cause anymore trouble.

Move ahead of the others and look for any sign of civilisation

(2) Feeling a little Columbus-y today, you want to go venturing on towards new civilizations, find new people to conquer, new enemies to defeat and a new day to save. Just everything has to be new. Dreaming about an adventure of epic proportions, you almost forget that you nearly drowned a few minutes ago. But your body remembers for you and drops you to the floor because of the lack of oxygen and the fact that you didn't freaking breath since you left the water. You said something about "having a breath-holding contest with Wemic". For your own safety, you pass out and open your mouth again, finally bringing some air to your brain. A few minutes later you come back to your senses and sit up, feeling like you just had a really bad hangover after taking a trip in the hot tub time machine.

Quote from: Gray (Ninteen45)
I run to Wemic and free him from the plant.

(6) Still wondering how you ended up here, you think about physics and the theory of relativity, cause that's just the kind of stuff that super smart mutants think about when it comes to magic. Your mathematical equations are interrupted by a call for help from Wemic. Immediately sprinting towards the distress call, you end up in the brush around the stone-circle and swipe away bushes and trees. After getting through a few bushes, you find Wemic being devoured alive by and oversized scrub. Thinking that this is a job for the hammer, you take it off your back that it magically stuck to (which you can't even explain with your science skills). Taking a wide swing, you smash your hammer into the plant's "head" and (2) do absolutely nothing. The powerful attack glances off of the man-eaters side as if nothing happened. Man, that's one tough weed. You might need a lawnmower for this one.

Quote from: Richard (Diakron)
I try to get rid of the burns.

(5) Taking a seat FAR away from Dragnar, you take off your armor once again and look at the burns. They seem to cover a lot of your body, but you think you'll be able to take it. Maybe you could even get rid of it? Then you remember when McCoy made his pain worse by punching himself in the stomach and generally being stupid. With this in mind you decide to approach this carefully and in an non-suicidal way. And it totally doesn't include a knife in any way. Wait. Yes, it does. Taking your dagger out from the worst spot a man could keep a sharp weapon, you proceed to look at Scaley and order him to burn your weapon. He complies and shoots a small flame at the blade till it's glowing red. You then proceed to put the BURNING weapon on your BURNS. Because that totally makes sense. But against all odds and physical senses, the knife somehow mends the wounded skin and sucks the burns right out of it. If anybody would have watched that, their head would probably have exploded from un-logic.

Head out the only way I can.

(5) Being the person here who wants to reach the goal first, you ignore all the happenings around you and start heading down the pathway without your teammates. So you walk ... and walk ... and keep on walking for a whole while. For some odd reason this walkway seems to go on forever, but you eventually reach the end. What you see here is a large stone door. Not seeing this as a problem, you quickly open it and then gaze at what lies behind it. With an astonished look on your face, you see floating boulders flying around through the air, the path that's infront of you leading to another stone-circle surrounded with more large columns. As you look down the sides of the path, you see that there's no ground below, just emptiness. Gulping and hoping that you won't fall off, you proceed down the way. As you come closer, you see 11 small pillars standing in a circle around a bigger one in the middle. You approach the large one and put your hand on it. From here they almost look like pedestals. Just then you notice something weird. Something is lying on one of the outer pillars. You walk up to it and suddenly recognize the object as the gray orb from town. You have no idea how it got here, but as you try to pick it up you suddenly hear a female voice: "Don't touch it.". You turn around, but suddenly stop as soon as you get a view of who's behind you. Several feet above the ground, you can see a young woman floating in the air. From her back long blue wings sprout out, reminding you somewhat of the runes on the floor. Dressed in a white robe and with long blond hair reaching to the bottom of her back, she looks almost like a angel. The angel lands on the ground and walks up to you. As she stands next to you she starts talking again with her charming voice: "So you've finally arrived. I've been waiting for you. This is my temple, you may call me "The One" as everyone of my followers does. That sphere that brought you here is one of a set of twelve keystones. They are scattered over many worlds and as such very hard to find. It is your quest to bring them back. You have already returned one of them, so for which one you go next is your choice." As she points at the pillars, small symbols appear on each one of the pedestals, even under the one with the gray orb on top. You can't understand what they mean, but you haven't really tried looking at them since you were preoccupied with staring at the goddess standing next to you.

Shorter? These are some of the longest turns in any RTD, with a few major exceptions.

kill the goddess!!!!1!!1!one!
Examine each pedestal, seeing if there is any indication of where they lead. I'll also have the parasite work on freeing everybody who has been attacked by the plants.

With everyone helping me how could something not go horrendously wrong?

If the plant still has me:

Get out my hammer and bash the damn plant off me, preferably in the stalk area.

If I'm free of the plant but have been wounded:

Wemic stalks off, the twin indignities of having been submerged and devoured by a salad too much for him, and goes off to lick his wounds. And by 'lick' I mean 'heal', which might actually involve licking.

If I am free of the plant and not wounded, the I resume examining the plants, because I'm fearless like that.

My deepest apologies for the way late turn. I had too much to do yesterday in too little time. And what happened to Diakron? Did he died?

Turn 26

Examine each pedestal, seeing if there is any indication of where they lead. I'll also have the parasite work on freeing everybody who has been attacked by the plants.

(6) Being as extreme as you are, you speed down the pathway, literally causing lightning to shoot from your body and arcing all over the place. All the bolts that you send out while sprinting to the shrine seem to be sucked in by the statues, but you don't think about it too much. As you reach the "outside" you run to the pedestals, not even paying attention to Tybalt and the angel making out just standing there. Deciding that you would follow in Acanthus' footsteps, you start running around in circles while trying to decipher the runes that are located on the sides of the small columns. While jumping and skipping all over the place like a rabbit on drugs, you subconsciously wrote down all the things you read on the pedestals. You're list ends up looking somewhat like this:

1: Rainbow
2: Earth
3: Void: Twilight Town, the Infinity, gray, Behemoth
4: Fire
5: Wind
6: Darkness
7: Poison
8: Animal
9: Machine
10: Water
11: Light
12: Plant

You notice that all but the third one seem to be missing something. As you read into it you also see that the third one is the one you guys came from and that it's also the only column with an orb on top. Maybe these things are somehow connected?
Back at the stone-circle, your parasite is preoccupied with freeing Wemic from the hungwy plant. (2) While he plans on jumping at the plant and biting it till it stops consuming friends, he instead just stands there. Unsure as to what is wrong, he tries to move the Ugly Face body, but it won't respond. It seems there is something here that is blocking his ability.

Go help Wemic. By applying copious amounts of fire to the offending plant. And the surrounding vegetation. IT MUST BURN!

(3) For a few seconds you think about causing a cave-in in Acanthus' face for beating you with his translating skills, but when you hear Wemic call for a little help, you decide to leave that enjoyment for later. Standing back on your feet, you run to the outskirts of the mini-jungle that's surrounding this place. You follow his cries and eventually find him and Gray. Unsure why he's yelling around that much, you notice the giant plant with teeth lodged into his leg. You ask: "Why don't you just kill that thing? It looks weak." After this snarky comment, you prepare to create a ginormous fireball, big enough to equal a meteor. Some would've called that overkill if it actually happened. Instead you create a tiny flame that could be from a match. Ashamed by this, you still try to light the thing on fire, but it somehow won't work. Replying to your question from before, Gray speaks up. "That's why, Smarty. Our attacks won't work for some reason." Scowling at this, you turn around and sulk to yourself.

Attempt to summon a bolt of pure energy and hurl it at the flower, while screaming "YOU SHALL NOT HAVE FOODZ LOL

(5) After seeing Opal run off into the forest, you think: "Damn. Hard audience." and then follow her. The chaos formed from all these roots and trees in your way doesn't make this task any easier, but you manage not to get lost and find her. She seems to be angry about something while Gray is grinning and Wemic is just standing there not  even minding the plant anymore. Till it starts biting again, of course. All the three of them start punching, bashing and burning the weed, but it doesn't even get a scratch from the group. You decide that something has to be done and step in. "Get back!" you yell while going into a position that makes you look like Ryu. You say something weird and cheesy involving the words "foodz" and "lol", and then you create a weird blue ball in your hand. The small sphere quickly grows until it's the size of a medicine ball. Thrusting your arms forward, you shout "HADOKEN!". The ball flies out of your hands, hitting the plant in the head. It tears right through the flower, leaving a good-sized hole in the warped creature. You turn and make a heroic pose as if you were being filmed by a imaginary camera, as the monster falls behind you, releasing its grip on Wemic's leg. The three of them stare at you with their mouths open, for Opal this is the second time. Either the Goddess likes you or your just a very lucky, reality-defying man. You also think that you remember how you used that attack just now and you might be able to do it again at any time.

If I am free of the plant and not wounded, the I resume examining the plants, because I'm fearless like that.

(2) Right after the defeat of the man-eater, you look at your leg and notice that there's no wounds on it, not even a dent from the teeth of the plant. You wonder how the sharp jaws didn't even leave a mark on your lion legs, buy seeing it as it is, you at least don't have to worry about it anymore. Still, you can't believe that the newcomer just totally obliterated something that not even you, Opal and Gray COMBINED were able to defeat. You can't help but stare with a wide-open mouth, as do the other two. This also keeps you from continuing your botanical research, but it might not have been such a good idea to look for more of those, even if they can't hurt you.

Remebering to breathe this time move out of the garden and beyond!

(5) Flipping the switch in your brain from "OFF" to "ON" you finally start thinking again. Having come back to your senses, you start breathing again and not deliberately suiciding. Maybe jumping into a glowing fountain was not the best idea anyway? On the other hand, at least you can't attempt to drown yourself here since there's no water ... or is there? Before you start thinking about that too much, you rather proceed down the walkway and join up with Tybalt and Dragnar. The same as with your other teammates, it takes you quite a while, but you reach the end. Arriving there, you spot the angel and start staring at her for quite a while. Tybalt actually poked you a few times, trying to get you to not just stand there and look like a creepy stalker. The goddess herself doesn't really seem to mind your observing. Still, you're a creeper. Creeper.

Look for something like an axe, or a flamethrower.

(2) After the destruction of the oversized man-eating vegetable thing, you just stand there and wonder what just happened. You wanted to get a axe or a flamethrower ... or a nuke, but since the enemy died, it doesn't seem like you need any of those anymore. Caught up with the other two companions, you stand there staring at Acanthus, unsure how he manage to shoot a ball of death and completely pulverize the plant while none of you could even do anything to it. It makes you feel weak, and feeling weak makes you feel useless. Giant super-mutants don't like feeling useless.

Quote from: Richard (Diakron)
Join the others at the shrine and ask the Goddess what to do next.

(5) Having treated your burns, you see Dragnar running off. Not letting this guy shock anymore people, you see it as your duty to follow him. And that's what you do. On the way you had to evade quite a few shocks and sparks that shot from his back, but you get there without much of a problem. If it weren't for the fact that he said sorry, you almost think that he was trying to team-attack you. And he totally wouldn't do that. Would he? Anyways, you walk to the outdoor shrine and see the goddess standing there. You walk up to her and ask her for advice on what to do. She turns her head to you and starts to talk: "This place is my shrine, but it also serves as a source of power. The twelve stands you see here are holders of the sacred orbs. Each one of them is different and they all contain their own powers. A few millenniums ago, a war raged here between the Holy One and an evil god that was trying to destroy this place. To stop him, the Holy One bound himself to the evil being and split into twelve orbs that would contain their power. But, the unholy monster managed to break free from his cage, making the most important orb of them all disappear. The Rainbow Orb. It is your mission to retrieve the other eleven spheres in order to open the path to the last one. Only with all the orbs returned, the Holy One can rise again and defeat his arch enemy. I as a descendant of the Holy One am blessed with some of his powers and managed to hide this place from the demon, but if you don't return them soon, the creature will find us and end this and all the other planes connected to it." Wow, that's pretty deep. After listening to her story, you look over to Dragnar who seems to be running around frantically.

Hmm, a goddess. Don't see that every day. Go to one of those pillars she mentioned and try to interact with it. Preferably green.

(3) After Dragnar has calmed down, you walk over to him and look at the stuff he wrote down. Seeing the number 12 being something with plant, you decide to head over there and check it out. Looking around, you see the one pedestal with green runes and kneel infront of it. With the help of your teammate you read that this one seems to be the plant one. As you are about to touch the rune, the angel suddenly interrupts you: "Wait. If you touch one of the pedestal runes your whole group will be transported to that world. You should think about which one you want to go to first. Choose wisely. After hearing those words, you pull your hand back and think about what to do.
