Seeing my best arm-bashing buddy suddenly drowning, Wemic springs into action to help, despite his distaste for being submerged. If I manage to help him or he frees himself or whatever, I'll stand guard near the fountain, guarding the way for everyone taking their sweet time.

I'm on a roll with this enchanting stuff, I think I'd better stop using it or I'll be struck low for being too greedy or something.

Grats, Acanthus!

I go back to the fountain, using pyromancy to singe any Uglies that get too close for comfort.

Thanks. :D

I would also like to go to the font, helping Opal kill the nasties.

@Acanthus: Wait, are you going to the front or getting a armor? Or both?

And what makes the replicants so special? Wikipedia just tells me that they look like humans nothing else :P

Depending on the model, they either are stronger/smarter/whatever than humans.

Your pick. Anyways, I just did it on a whim.

Armor first then, if I can't do both.

Well, it depends on the roll. If you get a five you'll probably ace both.

I will gurgle for help and try to overcome the weight of the armor and swim to the surface.

Turn 24

I ask the Quantum Stockpile for armor, or failing that, a set of clothes. I would also like to go to the font, helping Opal kill the nasties.

(1) (Huh, guess none of the two will go well then.) Deciding to leave messing around with the weapons functions for later, you stop staring at the two small buttons on its hilt and instead look around for something to do. Thinking that you might not look quite that heroic without any armor ... or clothes in general, you walk over to the Quantum-Supply once again, this time asking for some protection instead of weapon. For some reason the QS won't respond, you're unsure why till you see the screen above it light up. It seems to be spelling "Preparing for transport...". You don't really understand what it means by this, but you keep on trying to get a armor anyway. After a while with the same reaction each time, you give up. Out of frustration you lean backward and then slam your head into the wall. Not such a smart idea, leaving you dazed. Have fun!

I modify either my body or the lightning coat, making myself immune to it's effects.

(5) Even if there's a coat of pure electricity thundering inches around your skin, something like that won't scare you off! Remembering just what is like to be a powerful wizard that you are, you start to concentrate on bringing the not-so-illusionary lightning back under your control. Focusing your inner energy, you slowly open your hands and start to spread it around you. After a few seconds your entire body is covered with densely packed energy. You strain your mind to build up power and then release it all at once, making it ram into the thunder-coat. Having loaded a single command into such an powerful wave, you have brought it under control again. Still you are unsure if it completely worked. Overcoming your fear, you start moving your body-parts inch by inch, hoping not to be insta-fried. When you notice nothing bad happening, you start moving around normally again. It seems like it won't hurt you anymore, but you still don't know how to turn it off on command. That will have to be worked on at a later time. For now you have to accept that you look like a freaking lightning god ... or a sayian.

Seeing my best arm-bashing buddy suddenly drowning, Wemic springs into action to help, despite his distaste for being submerged. If I manage to help him or he frees himself or whatever, I'll stand guard near the fountain, guarding the way for everyone taking their sweet time.

(3) Having seen McCoy's failed attempt at yoga lessons and his drowning suicide attempt, you quickly rush to your best buddy's help ... or you at least try to. Stopping at the edge of the spring, your cat-part comes back into view as you look at the water while making a horrible face. Cats and water just don't like eachother very much. Nonetheless, this is a life or death situation for your friend and you can't let him down. Closing your eyes and forcing yourself to move on, you drop into the water infront of you. You're fur starts soaking up some of the water around you, weighing you down a little. Still you don't let something that minor keep you from saving your companion. You spot him sinking like a rock and swim towards him. You try pulling on him to get him to the surface, or at least disentangle him. Not being very successful at this, you notice that you're almost out of oxygen and need to hurry up a little. So you grab his arm in one last attempt to launch him to the surface. (5) Gathering your strength, you launch him up and out of the water. A few seconds later you resurface yourself and jump out of the fountain, happy to finally get out of the water.

I go back to the fountain, using pyromancy to singe any Uglies that get too close for comfort.

(3) Seeing Acanthus' attempts at getting an armor, you think it's best to leave him alone for a while and give him some time to ... become "saner". Walking out the door, you make your way back to the fountain, expecting the departure soon. As you arrive, you see McCoy being launched out of the water and Wemic following right behind him. Unsure what they just did, you try not to think about it too much. Having nothing better to do, you decide to take up guard duty. You find yourself a cozy spot and sit down, preparing to burn any Ugly entering a radius of half a mile. Still, it doesn't seem like the Ugly Faces are very active right now, as you don't see a single one pass by. Saddened that you don't get to act as a human ... I mean dwarven flamethrower, you lean back and wait for the others to hurry up with whatever they're doing so you can get out of here already.

I will gurgle for help and try to overcome the weight of the armor and swim to the surface.

(3) You try to free yourself from the cage that is your twisted body in order to get to the surface, but it just won't work. In that moment, you see somebody grab your arm. Before you can look who it is, you feel yourself suddenly being pushed at a high speed. A split second later you find yourself screaming "AHHHHHH!", while flying about 20 feet above the spring. You come down rather hard, literally forming a crater around you as you impact the floor. (6) For this time it looks like your armor has saved you from sustaining any injuries from your free fall, but it still seems like you're not able to move your arms and legs enough to get out of this uncomfortable position. You'll need some help with that.

Quote from: Gray (Ninteen45)
Go back to the fountain and attempt to learn a skill that keeps my enemies from running away.

(5) Getting over the lost fight, you follow the others to the spring in the town-center. On your way there, you think about how much it sucked that you didn't get beat up all the Uglies before they ran off, so you decide to not let that happen again. Ever. As you arrive at the fountain, you find some desolate spot and start training. First steps first, you start making weird faces that would intimidate your foes so that they wouldn't even dare moving. Then after having found the perfect look, you work on you speech skills, trying to say something in a way that would make your enemies freeze in fear. It takes you quite a while to perfect your skill, but you do and you want to try it out immediately. Looking around, you spot Tybalt standing next to the water in soaked clothes. You start approaching him from behind until you stand right next to him. At first he doesn't notice you, but as he turns around and sees you, he turns pale in a matter of seconds. "You can run,", you say while closing in on him: "but you can't hide." He looks like he's frozen to a statue after that statement and as you tap him on the forehead, he falls over like one, too. Worried that you may have gone a little overboard, you poke him a few times trying to wake him up.

Quote from: Richard (Diakron)
I tell Scaley to toast the rest of the Uglies and then go back to the fountain.

(5) Seeing that everybody is safe, you turn back to the horizon. You can still hear the growls and screams of the approaching horde, and decide that for everyone's safety you must make a last stand. Lightly kicking Scaley as the riders would do with their horses, the two of you head towards the incoming army. After a while, you can see them coming right at you and tell Scaletooth to stop. Coming to a halt, you wait till they are about a hundred feet away from you. Holding your hammer up in the air while getting your pet to do a heroic pose, you yell out: "YOU ... SHALL NOT ... PASS!, as you jump down from your mount smashing the weapon on the ground and sending a stone-wave towards them, (6) blasting through a huge part of the incoming wave. Sending your animal companion a mental command, you order him to start burning the Uglies. You yourself run towards them and start bashing at them like crazy. (Burning: 4, Hammering: 6+1) Scaley is occupied with putting the hordes aflame and keeping your back free, while you smash the closer ones into pieces. With your combined power, you quickly pick of a large part of the army. If this were an XBOX 360 game, a "Achievement unlocked!" message would pop up right about now. The reinforcements are still far away, but you ready yourself in case that it might still take a while for you to get out of here.

Put the orb in, see what happens.

(Auto-success) Waking up from being knocked out cold by Gray's intimidation, you come back to your sense and reassure him that you're fine while at the same time telling him to never do something like that again. You get up and look at that ball you're still holding in your hand. This might just be the key to get out of here. As you look around you, you can see that everybody has pretty much finished with everything they were doing and that they're waiting on you to put that thing in the socket. So that's what you'll do. Grabbing on to the orb tightly, you jump into the water and swim towards the hole in the wall. As you reach it, you put the sphere in and wait. At first nothing happens. Then suddenly a blinding light shines out from the socket and mesmerizes you. Everybody else on the team also find their view suddenly fading away till everything is completely dark.

As you open your eyes, you find yourself in what seems to be some kind of garden. You seem to be standing on a large, circular stone area, with all your teammates, including Scaletooth and the Parasite around you in the exact same position that they were in before the transport. Along the floor you can see many blue glowing runes and one huge one in the spot under you. You see large stone columns and statues standing around the circle and also going along a pathway that seems to be the only way out of here. The sky is visible above as there seems to be no ceiling, but around you everything is blocked off by walls other than the single walkway. down the next to the stone-paths there is fresh, green grass and plants growing all kinds of healthy-looking food. Vines crawl around and through the holes that litter the statues and pillars. It seems like you only have one way to go now.

Act 1. End.

Well, at least you out of that town now and heading towards your next destination.

Start studying the plants in the area, to find out if they are useful at all.

Thanks, I'll force myself to get better with pure will. :P

And Acanthus, there's no Quantum-Supply here.
